  • Publication number: 20130260982
Abstract: Disclosed is a cement-free high strength unshaped refractory in which barium aluminate and a dispersant are further added to a refractory which includes a refractory material containing Al2O3 and SiC and an alumina sol binder to largely improve handling strength of the unshaped refractory. The unshaped refractory according to the present invention is usefully applicable to lining which contacts slag in a blast furnace or a gasifier.

  • Publication number: 20130243682
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing SiC powders with a high purity, and more particularly, a method for manufacturing SiC powders with a high purity by reating a solid phase carbon source as raw materials with gas phase silicon sources generated from a starting material composed of metallic silicon and silicon dioxide powders and, in which it is easy to control the size and crystalline phase of the SiC powders by changing the compositions of the gas phase silicon source to the solid phase carbon source mole ratio, and the temperature and time for the heat treatment.

  • Publication number: 20130093128
Abstract: Disclosed are methods of producing Ni/YSZ porous anode bodies for solid oxide fuel cells. According to the methods, a small amount of a nickel compound or salt is used as a pore former. Upon heating in air, the nickel compound or salt is decomposed into nickel oxide and releases gases, resulting in volume shrinkage. Therefore, Ni/YSZ porous bodies having a uniform pore size and reduction products thereof can be produced in an economical manner.

  • Patent number: 6567672
Abstract: A flip type or folder type mobile phone for wireless communication with a base station, which includes a movable part so as to define an open or closed position and an opening/closing sensor for generating an open or close signal according to the open or closed position, the opening/closing sensor being enabled or disabled by an enable or disable signal, whereby the mobile phone terminates a communication channel according to said open or close signal. A communication method is also disclosed and includes the steps of establishing a communication channel between the mobile phone and the base station; and generating a disable signal during data communication to disable the opening/closing sensor from generating the close signal thereby maintaining the communication channel.

  • Patent number: 6126749
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a reaction bonded silicon carbide by the infiltration of molten metal by using a porous silicon carbide/carbon or carbon preform in which the molten metal is supplied to the carbon preform by capillary action through a pyro-carbon coated dense graphite feeder on which a transfer path of molten metal is defined from a molten metal supplier under an inert atmosphere, and a carbon woven fabric on which the carbon preform is placed transfers continuously the carbon preform at a constant speed and thereby infiltrates the carbon preform. The apparatus and method for manufacturing a reaction bonded silicon carbide which enable mass production of goods of various sizes and characteristics by continuously transferring the carbon preform on the carbon woven fabric and supplying the molten metal through the pyro-carbon coated graphite feeder.
