  • Patent number: 8971195
Abstract: In one embodiment, an originating node in a full-mesh computer network receives a trigger to determine integrity of the full-mesh network's data-paths. The originating node determines an ordered list of nodes in the full-mesh computer network. The originating node then sends echo requests to each non-originating node of the ordered list. The originating node may later receive consolidated echo responses from at least some non-originating nodes to which an echo request was sent. Each consolidated echo response indicates a response from the respective non-originating node, and any responses to subsequent echo requests sent by that particular non-originating node to subsequent nodes. The originating node may then use these responses to determine a connectivity status of the full-mesh computer network.

  • Patent number: 7599298
Abstract: A telecommunications system includes an MPLS network. The system includes a source node in communication with the network. The system includes a destination node in communication with the network and with the source node through a plurality of different paths. Each path of which has a residual bandwidth at a given time. The source node forming a connection with the destination node at the given time across the path of the different paths as a function of residual bandwidth. A method for selecting a preferred LSP path from a set of equal cost paths. A method for sending packets in a telecommunications network. A software program for a management station or a switch.

  • Patent number: 7483440
Abstract: A communications system for transmitting packets includes a network. The system includes a plurality of P, PE and CE devices in communication with the network. The system includes a controller which creates an LSP through the PE devices defining a path such that the LSP starts and ends at the same PE node. A method for transmitting packets. The method includes the steps of creating an LSP through PE devices in communication with the network defining a path such that the LSP starts and ends at the same PE node. There is the step of sending the packets along the path.

  • Patent number: 7369571
Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a packet based network. The system includes a packet ingress node for packets having a QOS in communication with the packet based network. The system includes an ATM ingress node for an ATM network. The ATM ingress node receiving the packets from the packet ingress node through the packet based network, segmenting the packets into cells and identifying the QOS associated with each cell. The system includes an ATM network in communication with the ATM ingress node. The system includes an ATM egress node which receives cells from the ATM ingress nodes. The ATM egress node in communication with the ATM network. The ATM egress node reassembles the cells back into the packets. The ATM egress node in communication with the packet based network. The system includes a plurality of VCs corresponding with QOS between the ATM ingress node and the ATM egress node through the ATM network.
