  • Publication number: 20130150014
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented to support operation of a multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) device. A first SIM may monitor paging indicators while a second SIM performs a data transfer or voice call. During the second SIM's data transfer or voice call, paging transition times are identified to transition communication resources to the first SIM for use in monitoring paging indicators. The transition time may be short so as to limit the impact on the second SIM's data transfer or voice call. When the first SIM receives a paging indicator indicating an incoming call, the device may retrieve caller identification information of the incoming call and automatically reject the incoming call. The communication resource may be returned to the second SIM to continue the data transfer or voice call.

  • Publication number: 20120072828
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for generating an image representing a page portion. A complex input is received to form a received input. The received input is rendered by a server based rendering engine absent a browser to create a rendered virtual page. The elements of the virtual page are identified to form identified elements. Each identified element is translated into an equivalent scalable vector graphic element. An image is generated using the equivalent scalable vector elements to form a generated image. And the generated image is stored.

  • Patent number: 7788424
Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting data from a transmitting device (121) to a receiving device (125). The transmitting device transmits a first data frame (200) to a receiving device a first time (3100). Then it consecutively transmits the first data frame to the receiving device second through Nth times (3101-310N), each of second through Nth first data frame transmissions being made a first predetermined time period (350) after a respective previous first data frame transmission. After this, the transmitting device transmits a second data frame (200) to the receiving device a second predetermined time period (360) after the Nth first data frame transmission. In this method, N is an integer greater than 1, and the second predetermined time period is less than the first predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 7548552
Abstract: A method is provided for a master device (601) to allocate channel time. The master device sends a polling frame (240) to a current destination slave device (602) and a current polled slave device (603). The polling frame includes a current destination slave device address (350), a current polled slave device address (360), and a current payload (330). The master device receives a poll acknowledgement frame (280) if the current polled slave device does not wish to transmit data. However, if no poll acknowledgement frame is received, the master device waits for a set duration then sets the current destination device address to be equal to a new destination device address, sets the current polled device address to be equal to a new polled slave device address, and sets a current payload to be equal to a new payload. This can be repeated until a channel time allocation ends.

  • Patent number: 7433314
Abstract: A method and system for acknowledging the receipt of a transmitted data stream in a wireless personal area network (WPAN) are disclosed. In one embodiment, a plurality of medium access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs) are transmitted from a transmitting party to a receiving party, and the receiving entity sends a delayed acknowledgment frame to the transmitting party using a bitmap field for each of the fragmented packets instead of using two bytes of an MPDU block for acknowledging each received MPDU. The bitmap field includes a plurality of bitmap values corresponding to the plurality of MPDUs, and each of the plurality of bitmap values is indicative of whether each of the MPDUs is received or not.

  • Patent number: 7321761
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preventing the transfer of unauthorized data among a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), an external network, and at least one access point in a wireless communication system includes the WTRU recording a subject and storing the recording as data in a memory of the WTRU. The WTRU transmits the data to the access point. The access point examines the data to determine if the data is allowed for transfer to the external network.

  • Patent number: 7161909
Abstract: A method and system for acknowledging the receipt of a transmitted data stream in a wireless local area network (WLAN) are disclosed. One aspect of the invention provides a system and method of acknowledging the receipt of a transmitted data stream in a wireless local area network, wherein the system sends a single acknowledgement to the transmitting party after all of the fragment packets, which belong to a sequence, are received in the receiving party. Another aspect of the invention provides a system and method of confirming the receipt of a transmitted data stream in a wireless local area network, wherein the system transmits a plurality of fragment packets without waiting for an acknowledgement for each fragment packet from the receiving party.
