  • Publication number: 20240073084
Abstract: Techniques and architecture are described for a pull model for obtaining and implementing config changes on network devices are described herein. A user submits intent configuration to the network controller that needs to be delivered to several network sites. The network controller generates a config file. The network controller sends a pull notification message to all network devices that need to retrieve the config file. This pull notification message only contains a corresponding transaction ID for each network device and a location for the network device to use to pull the config file. The network devices may utilize a HTTP REST API exposed by the network controller to obtain the config file from the network controller. The network devices may utilize a REST API exposed by the network controller to reply with statuses of the configuration transaction. The techniques and architecture may be applied to multi-tenant network devices.

  • Publication number: 20240054688
Abstract: Embodiments include methods performed by a processor of a receiving wireless device for rendering augmented reality content. The methods may include receiving real image data from a transmitting wireless device via a first data stream, and receiving augmented reality (AR) content from the transmitting wireless device via a second data stream that is an alt video stream, in which the AR content is for display with the real image data. Methods may further include displaying the AR content in conjunction with the real image data. In some embodiments, the first data stream and the second data stream are Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) streams.

  • Publication number: 20220338258
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for enabling collision mitigation for a user equipment (UE) operating in a dual active mode. In some aspects, the UE may generate a communication for a first subscription in a first time window associated with a first priority for a time domain division pattern with a second subscription. The UE may transmit, using the first subscription, the communication in a second time window associated with a second priority for the time domain division pattern. For example, the second time window associated with the second priority may be a time window in which traffic for the first subscription is prioritized. In some aspects, the UE may select modified periodic intervals for transmissions of a communication to mitigate collisions associated with the time domain division pattern. For example, a transmission time of the periodic communication may be varied (or randomized) over time.

  • Publication number: 20180343098
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that a video frame was not properly received by the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device may determine whether a reference frame is stored in a buffer of the wireless communication device based at least in part on determining that the video frame was not properly received. The wireless communication device may selectively transmit a negative acknowledgement (NACK) indication based at least in part on determining whether the reference frame is stored in the buffer. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 10085029
Abstract: A system and method for performing video telephony (VT) is disclosed. In one example, there is provided an apparatus having a transceiver configured to receive VT data and information indicating a switch from a first display to a second display from a network. The apparatus also includes a decoder operatively coupled to the transceiver and configured to decode the VT data, a memory comprising a coded picture buffer (CPB) configured to store the decoded VT data, and a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver, the decoder, and the memory. The processor is configured to, in response to receiving the information indicating a switch from a first display to a second display, instruct the transceiver to transmit a request for an I-frame to the network.

  • Patent number: 9674737
Abstract: A system and method for rate-adaptation of a video telephony (VT) session is disclosed. In one example, there is provided a method that includes receiving a first information set indicative of a start of a handover of a device from a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) to a second RAT. The method further includes receiving a second information set indicative of an end of the handover. The method further includes adjusting a rate-adaptation protocol for the VT session based at least in part on the first and second information sets.

  • Patent number: 5305836
Abstract: Hardware, software and methods for controlling the usage of well drill bits and other aspects of well drilling plans. At least a portion of a given well is drilled with a given drill bit. An abrasive-wear-affecting variable (drilling strength) for the lithology which has been most recently drilled with the bit is continually evaluated. The current abrasive wear of the bit by the total lithology which has been drilled thereby is continually calculated, based on the abrasive-wear-affecting variable. Continued use or retirement of the bit is controlled in accord with the wear calculation. Relative pore pressure at the current site of the drill bit is a useful by product which can be independently used to control other aspects of the well drilling plan, e.g. mud weight and the setting of casing.
