  • Publication number: 20230195530
Abstract: In an example method, a system obtains a data packet for processing, determines a hash value representing the data packet, and selects a processor core from among a plurality of processor cores for processing the data packet. The processor core is selected by determining, based on the hash value, that the hash value corresponds to a first processor core from among the plurality of processor cores, and determining, based on a plurality of data structures stored by the load balancing system, whether to select the first processor core or a second processor core from among the plurality of processor cores for processing the data packet. Further, the system causes the selected processor core to process the data packet.

Abstract: In order to improve efficiency in releasing a connection with a user equipment, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are presented herein. A RAN receives release assistance information from a user equipment or a User Plane Function (UPF) involved in an active session with the user equipment. The release assistance information may be received over a control plane or over a user plane. The release assistance information may be received from the user equipment or the UPF over the user plane or as Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling. The release assistance information may be received from an application function via the UPF. The RAN determines to release the user equipment based on the release assistance information.

  • Patent number: 10643339
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method is provided to determine a motion of pixels in local regions of a scene, classify the motion into a speed category, and make decisions on how to render blocks of pixels. In one implementation the motion in a tile is classified into at least three different speed regimes. If the pixels in a tile are in a quasi-static speed regime, a determination is made whether or not to reuse a fraction of pixels from the previous frame. If the pixels are determined to be in a high speed regime, a decision is made whether or not a sampling rate may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 10455502
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for transmitting additional information over a radio access network are described. A method of wireless communication includes aligning a discontinuous reception (DRx) schedule for a user equipment (UE) with a plurality of token arrival times, determining, at a time based on a first token arrival time, whether a radio frequency (RF) band is available for communication, and transmitting control information on the RF band when the RF band is available for communication. The token arrival time may correspond to a waking time for the UE defined by the DRx schedule.

  • Patent number: 10181176
Abstract: A texture cache architecture includes a first texture cache to store compressed texel data and a second texture cache to store decompressed texel data. A controller schedules accesses to access texel data from the first or second texture cache. • Publication number: 20180302933
Abstract: A leader-follower protocol is provided for wireless communication in a BAN. A connection is established between a leader of the BAN and at least one follower in the BAN. The follower refrains from transmitting until a transmission is received from the leader. The transmission from the leader triggers a transmission opportunity at the follower for a window of time. Once the follower receives a transmission from the leader, the follower may then transmit a second transmission to the leader within the window of time. The transmission from the leader that triggers the transmission opportunity for the follower may be a data transmission, a poll transmission, an ACK a sleep mode message, etc. After transmitting a transmission to the a follower, the leader refrains from transmitting for the window of time in order to accommodate the transmission opportunity for the at least one follower.

  • Patent number: 10061591
Abstract: A method for reducing execution of redundant threads in a processing environment. The method includes detecting threads that include redundant work among many different threads. Multiple threads from the detected threads are grouped into one or more thread clusters based on determining same thread computation results. Execution of all but a particular one thread in each of the one or more thread clusters is suppressed. The particular one thread in each of the one or more thread clusters is executed. Results determined from execution of the particular one thread in each of the one or more thread clusters are broadcasted to other threads in each of the one or more thread clusters.

  • Patent number: 10055810
Abstract: A texture cache architecture facilitates access of compressed texture data in non-power of two formats, such as the Adaptive Scalable Texture Compression (ASTC) codec. In one implementation, the texture cache architecture includes a controller, a first buffer, a second buffer, and a texture decompressor. A first buffer stores one or more blocks of compressed texel data fetched, in response to a first request, from a first texture cache, where the one or more blocks of compressed texel data including at least requested texel data. The second buffer stores decompressed one or more blocks of compressed texel data and provides the decompressed requested texel data as output to a second texture cache. The one or more blocks of compressed texel data stored by the first buffer includes second texel data in addition to the requested texel data.
