Abstract: A method of determining the viability of a gum for use in making a product has been achieved by (a) mixing a sample of the gum in a solvent comprising one or more hydroxy moiety containing solvent compound to form a solution with the gum; (b) measuring the viscosity of the solution and comparing against a predetermined target viscosity for a product; and (c) comparing the viscosity of the solution and the predetermined target viscosity and discarding gum which is outside the predetermined target viscosity; and (d) using the gum which has a viscosity within the predetermined target to prepare a product; wherein another hydroxy moiety containing solvent is used if water is used as a solvent. Also described are compositions comprising the gum and solvent comprising one or more hydroxy moiety.

Abstract: A computer system for detecting banking frauds in historical data and future transactions from a user supplied specimen set of fraudulent transactions can include: a user console that receives a type of fraud and a plurality of known fraudulent banking transactions associated with the type of fraud from the user; a first set of clue detectors operating on the plurality of known fraudulent banking transactions from the user; a clue detector archive that stores a second set of clue detectors, wherein each of the stored second set of clue detectors has a score that exceeds a threshold value for each clue detector; and a backpropagation neural network that calculates a weight for the stored second set of clue detectors using a learning scheme, wherein a fraud scenario is created based on the stored second set of clue detectors and corresponding weights.

Abstract: A system and method provide for an application for matching metadata from a transaction in an online transaction processing subsystem of an enterprise system to query metadata in an online analytical processing subsystem. A business object type is identified from a transaction in the online transaction subsystem using an object repository key and a corresponding data object attribute is determined from a mapping table. A new query of metadata from the online analytical processing subsystem is run, using the value of the data object attribute as a filter. This may allow for the generation of dynamic related report results for the transaction.

Abstract: A method to order a set of paper checks using a mobile device, including obtaining, using the mobile device, an image of a check, analyzing, using a computer processor of the mobile device and based on a pre-determined check template, the image to generate account information of the check, wherein the account information relates to a checking account of an account holder at a financial institution issuing the check, and wherein the account information comprises a checking account number, a name of the account holder, and an address of the account holder, searching, using the computer processor, a database to identify a check ordering service based on the account number and the address of the account holder, and submitting to the check ordering service, using the mobile device, an order of the set of paper checks for the account holder based on the account information of the account holder.

Abstract: A method of controlling tint of a tintable window to account for occupant comfort in a room of a building. The tintable window is between the interior and exterior of the building. The method predicts a tint level for the tintable window at a future time based on a penetration depth of direct sunlight through the tintable window into the room at the future time and space type in the room. The method also provides instructions over a network to transition tint of the tintable window to the tint level.

One or more of the database tables are then selected based on the rating of the database tables. Archiving objects for the one or more selected tables are obtained. An archiving object includes one or more archiving programs and defines data related to a business object. The archiving objects are ranked based on dependencies between them. Based on the ranking of the archiving objects, an archiving schedule including an archiving order for the archiving objects is generated. The archiving schedule is then displayed.
