  • Publication number: 20240046913
Abstract: An ear cup housing has several reference microphones, an error microphone and a speaker. A processor drives the speaker for acoustic noise cancellation and transparency, by processing the microphone signals, and performs an oversight process by adjusting the reference microphone signals in response to detecting wind noise events and scratch events. In another aspect, the ear cup housing has an outside face that is joined to an inside face by a perimeter and the reference microphones are on the perimeter. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10382857
Abstract: An audio electronics system operates on audio data. A low-pass or bandpass filter produces first data from audio data. A level detector produces a time-varying first gain. The first gain is based on a time-varying level of the first data. A harmonics generator receives, as input, the first data adjusted by an inverse of the first gain. The harmonics generator produces second data, as harmonics of the input. A multiplier outputs the second data adjusted by the first gain. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
