    Abstract: A hollow lamp arm swingably connected to a support at a first point and having an internal concentric rod swingably connected to the base at a second point spaced from the first point. A bearing on the rod is slidably received in the arm and helical counter-balance compression spring is supported between the bearing and the support. The bearing has a spherical race inside connected to the rod so that the rod can swing relative to the arm.
