    Abstract: In a shielded connector, an inner housing is disposed within an outer housing, the connected terminal of a shield wire is mounted in the inner housing, a cylindrical metal shell for covering the inner housing is inserted between the outer housing and inner housing, and the terminal is disposed in such a manner that the central axis thereof is offset with respect to the central axis of the shielded wire. In the shield connector, the outer and inner housings are connected together into a united body by means of connecting parts which are respectively provided in the offset direction.

    Abstract: An object of the invention is to quickly supply inexpensive large current terminals without entailing complicated metal-working process and labor. Further, another object thereof is to provide methods of metal-working such terminals. A large current male terminal is constructed by forming a hollow cylindrical electric contact part on one end of a conductive pipe, a hollow cylindrical wire crimping part on the other end thereof, and a collar between the electric contact part and the wire crimping part. The electric contact part has a substantially conical nose and is formed by squeezing one end of the conductive pipe in such a manner that the diameter of the one end is gradually reduced frontward. The wire crimping part has such an inner diameter as to allow a wire to be inserted thereinto.

    Abstract: To make the fitting of a pair of connectors smooth and keep an insulation distance between a terminal and a metal shell large and thus improve the fitting characteristics and the reliability of a shielded connector, a rib projects over the end surface of one of a male or a female connector so that the rib lies between a metal shell projecting over the end of the male connector and a male terminal projecting over the end surface. A groove corresponds to the rib and is formed in the top end surface of the other of the male and female connectors.

Then, a terminal is fixedly secured to a front end of the shield wire, and the terminal is inserted into an electrically-conductive, hollow cylindrical shell, mounted within a housing, through an open, exposed rear end of the shell, so that a shell contact portion of the shield contact member is held against the rear end, and in this condition the shield wire is fixed to the housing.

    Abstract: The feeder connector is designed to prevent incomplete engagement of the feeding and receiving side connectors and to facilitate connection work when charging an electric car. The feeder connector comprises a feeding side connector A on the power supply apparatus side and a receiving side connector B on the car body side. The feeding side connector A has a connector body 1, a protective case 2 and a lock lever 12. The protective case 2 consists of a main case 2A made up of a cylinder portion 3, a half-cylinder portion 4 and a trough portion 5, all formed integral, and a subcase 2B. The connector body 1 is formed integral with the cylinder portion 3 of the main case 2A through a flange 19 formed along the periphery of the body. An opening 11 is formed ranging from the cylinder portion 3 of the main case 2A to the subcase 2B. In this opening 11, a lock lever 12 for the receiving side connector B is rotatably provided.

    Abstract: A connection terminal is retained by a retaining lance which is a primary retaining member formed in a terminal receiving chamber. In addition, in a terminal insertion port at the rear end of the terminal receiving chamber, a rear holder having retaining projections provided on the side walls and a U-shaped wire holding portion is provided as a secondary retaining member. Retaining holes engageable with the retaining projections are provided on side walls of the terminal receiving chamber. A displacement preventing member having a width which is substantially equal to a width of a U-shaped opening of the wire holding portion is extended rearward at the rear end of an upper circumferential wall of the terminal receiving chamber. This displacement preventing member is inserted into the wire holding portion under the condition where the rear holder is locked.

    Abstract: A connector of a type where a female connector and a male connector are fitted to each other wit ha small force through the use of a lever. An elongated hollow case houses a connector body slidable in an front half of the case. The connector body has a plurality of terminals therein. A handle is mounted to a rear half of the case and is adapted to advance and retract with the connector body longitudinally within the case. A lever has a acting portion and an operating portion and journaled at an intermediate portion thereof within the case. The acting portion is pivotally connected to the handle or the connector body. The operating portion projects outwardly of the case. Pivoting the lever about the intermediate portion journaled within the case causes the connector body to advance said connector body into a fitting engagement with an external mating connector body.
