The recognition unit performs the recognition processing only on a frame of a B picture when a processing cost of a most recent recognition processing is greater than or equal to a predefined amount.

Abstract: An information generation apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a captured image, and a generation unit configured to generate metadata on an object detected from the image, wherein the generation unit associates an object index for each of a plurality of segmented areas obtained by segmenting the image with a label index corresponding to integrated information obtained by integrating object detection results in each of the segmented areas in the metadata.
