  • Publication number: 20060240896
Abstract: A constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring formed formed with a bore defined by six flat surfaces parallel to its axis, and a trunnion member received in the bore of the outer ring. The trunnion member has an outer periphery formed with three first spherical surfaces circumferentially spaced apart from each other and three second spherical surfaces circumferentially spaced apart from each other and each disposed between adjacent first spherical surfaces. Each first spherical surface is in contact with one of the flat surfaces at a point offset from the circumferential center of the flat surface in one circumferential direction. Each second spherical surface is in contact with another flat surface at a point offset from the circumferential center of the flat surface in the other circumferential direction. At least one of the outer ring and the trunnion member is made of a synthetic resin.

  • Publication number: 20060067737
Abstract: A tripod type constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring formed with three axially extending track grooves circumferentially spaced apart from each other by 120 degrees. Each track groove has a pair of opposed, axially extending side faces. A tripod member is inserted in the outer ring. The tripod member includes three protrusions each slidably received in one of the track grooves and having a pair of circumferentially curved side faces each opposing one of the pair of side faces of each track groove. Torque is thus transmitted between the outer ring and the tripod member. At least the protrusions of the tripod member are formed of a synthetic resin.

  • Publication number: 20060061829
Abstract: A constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring formed with an annular space therein having an opening at one axial end thereof. The annular space is defined by a radially outer wall and a radially inner wall of the outer ring. One of the radially outer wall and the radially inner wall is formed with three axially extending track grooves circumferentially spaced apart from each other by 120 degrees. A cage is inserted in the annular space and formed with pockets at positions corresponding to the respective track grooves. Balls are each received in one of the pockets so as to roll along one of the track grooves. A pair of diametrically opposed protrusions is formed at radially inner and outer open ends of the respective pockets of the cage to prevent the balls from coming out of the respective pockets of the cage.

  • Publication number: 20050281498
Abstract: A slide bearing is proposed which rotatably supports a rotary shaft of an impeller in a cooling water circulation pump mounted to a fuel cell. The slide bearing is formed of a synthetic resin containing no metal ions such as polyetherketone resin. This prevents impurities originating from the slide bearing from being dissolved into cooling water for the fuel cell.

Abstract: A constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring formed with an annular space therein having an opening at one end thereof. The annular space is defined by a radially outer wall and a radially inner wall. One of the radially inner and outer walls is formed with three axially extending track grooves circumferentially spaced apart from each other by 120 degrees. A cage is inserted in the annular space with one end thereof protruding from the opening of the annular space. A second shaft is provided on the one end of the cage. • Publication number: 20050117941
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a plate-shaped peeling member having a thin metal plate and a resin sheet adhered thereto by winding the resin sheet around a leading edge of the thin metal plate. The plate-shaped peeling member peels paper from a roller or a belt of an electrophotographic apparatus, with a leading edge of the thin metal plate in contact with or being adjacent to the roller or the belt.

  • Publication number: 20050073755
Abstract: The present invention provides a lens holder and a lens protector having little burrs and no gate marks formed on a surface thereof confronting an optical disc and a method of manufacturing the lens holder and the lens protector. The lens holder is formed in integration with a boss by injection-molding and has a hole capable of holding an objective lens on a surface of the lens holder confronting an optical disc. The boss having a gate and a contact portion which contacts a ejector pin is formed on a peripheral side surface of the lens holder when the injection molding is performed and cut off from the lens holder after the injection molding finishes.

  • Patent number: 6857125
Abstract: A coating comprising a urethane resin as a base, and at least polyurethane particles and fluororesin powder is formed on a surface of a member that is, or can be, contacted with an optical disk in an optical disk apparatus. The coating can prevent the optical disk, i.e., a CD, a DVD, etc., from damaging, even if the optical disk is contacted with a tray or an objective lens.

  • Patent number: 6675770
Abstract: A pressing device for an apparatus for imparting a friction resistance to a rotary shaft driving an engine-output control device directly or indirectly to apply a resistance to an operation of an accelerator. The pressing device is a molded product made of a resinous material whose flexural strength is 50 MPa or higher and flexural modulus of elasticity is 3,300 MPa or higher. When a friction plate is formed compositely with a plate-shaped member to form the pressing device, friction plate is formed of a fluorocarbon resin; and at least one ingredient selected from a whisker whose Mohs hardness is 5 or less, a carbon fiber, and a hard resinous powder.

  • Patent number: 6390683
Abstract: A heat insulation sleeve and a bearing device using the heat insulation sleeve capable of reducing generation of periodical or sudden noises generated in the periphery of a fixing device are described. A flange of the heat insulation sleeve does not break to be used for a fixing roller incorporated in an energy-saving type electrophotographic apparatus such as a laser beam printer or the like which is heated and cooled frequently at short intervals. Both ends of the slit overlap each other in an axial direction of the heat insulation sleeve. And the heat insulation sleeve has a projection formed at a peripheral end opposite to a flange-disposed side. The heat insulation sleeve is press-fitted on an inner ring of a rolling bearing.

  • Patent number: 5755261
Abstract: A valve assembly has a valve seat formed with valve holes which can be opened and closed by sliding a valve body on the valve seat. Its water stopping capacity is kept high after long, continuous use. Its handle operability is also kept high. A valve seat 6 or valve body 11 is made of a synthetic resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polycyanoarylether resin, and 40-165 parts by weight of glassy carbon having an average particle diameter not exceeding 25 .mu.m. This resin composition may further comprise not more than 30 parts by weight of a fluororesin powder such as PTFE. Otherwise, the valve assembly may have a valve body 11 made of a ceramic material, and a valve seat 6 made of a synthetic resin having a land portion 12 formed on the center of its surface opposite the valve body 11. The diameter of the land portion 12 is smaller than the outer diameter of the valve body 11. Even if the valve seat 6 is deformed under water supply pressure, the land portion 12 can retain its shape.
