    Abstract: Included are: a cylindrical body (cylindrical portion 16) provided with a shaft portion (18); and a first valve body (11) that is in close contact with the shaft portion to close an opening portion (22) of the cylindrical body, and is separated from the shaft portion when pressure (P) in the cylindrical body rises to a threshold (Pth) or higher by gas that has entered the cylindrical body, to release the gas from the cylindrical body to the outside. The valve body includes a closing portion (40) that receives the pressure (P) of the gas in the cylindrical body. The pressure received by the closing portion (40) serves as a valve opening force. As a result, the discharge characteristics of the gas filling a case are improved to enhance a pressure regulation function.

    Abstract: An end cap for a bicycle control cable of the type wherein an inner cable slides within an outer casing includes a housing defining a hollow chamber, wherein the housing has a first end defining a first opening for receiving the inner cable therethrough and a second end defining a second opening adapted to fit to the outer casing of the bicycle control cable. A lubricant is disposed in the chamber, and a screen is provided for screening the first opening at the first end of the housing. A portion of the hollow chamber between the lubricant and the second end of the housing is open through the second end of the housing, but the lubricant has sufficiently low fluidicity at normal temperature that the lubricant does not flow out of the housing.

A displaceable second screen screens the second end of the housing. A seal is disposed at the first end of the housing. The seal includes an annular seal member defining an inner area, and the seal member is sized to sealingly fit over the outer periphery of the inner cable of the bicycle control cable.

In the case where the results of the detection are affirmative, reading of the data from the address in question and the subsequent writing of the result of a calculation into the address in question are carried out. In the case where the results of the detection are negative, an instruction for the main memory to read data in the block which contains the address in question is issued. The read data in the block is transferred from the main memory to the buffer memory, the transferred data is written into the buffer memory with the word of the requested address placed as the beginning word of the data, and the beginning word of the data from the buffer memory is picked-up.

    Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes at least one processing unit, a main storage unit, a main storage control unit, a key storage unit and a key storage control unit. The main storage unit is divided into blocks and the key storage unit stores main storage protection keys, each of which corresponds to one of the blocks of the main storage unit. Key storage access requests are received from a processing unit or the main storage control unit by the key storage control unit whenever data is to be read from or written to a block of main storage. The key storage control unit registers the key storage access requests in a key queue, prevents duplicate access requests from being registered, and processes the queued key storage access requests. The processing of key storage access requests includes updating the contents of the key storage unit to maintain a record of accesses to the main storage unit and controlling accesses to the main storage unit by permitting or denying access thereto.
