  • Patent number: 5598091
Abstract: On a stator core, there are wound primary generating windings of four (4) poles with a distributed full-pitch winding structure and stator excitation windings with a concentrated full-pitch winding structure, having the number of poles odd-number times the number of poles of the primary generating windings, that is, twelve (12) poles. The primary windings appropriately produce spatial higher harmonic components of the armature reaction magnetic fields. The excitation windings are connected to the center taps of the primary windings through a control rectifier. On a rotor core, six field windings of four poles. The field windings are arranged at positions where they are magnetically coupled with both static magnetic fields produced by the stator excitation windings and odd-order spatial higher harmonic components of armature reaction magnetic fields produced by the currents in the primary generating windings. The field windings are short-circuited by the diodes, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5487472
Abstract: A pulse color sorter which permits removal of internally and externally moldy pulse having afuratoxine as decomposition product is disclosed. The pulse color sorter comprises a first detector which provides a first and a second detection signal according to dispersed and transmitted light having two different wavelengths (for instance 700 and 1,100 nm) with different contents of information due to the separation of wavelengths, a second detector which provides a third detection signal according to reflected light, and a controller which calculates division of the first and second detection signals from the first detector, compares the resultant value calculated to a first predetermined threshold value while also compares the third signal from the second detector to a second threshold value, and outputs an eject signal if either of the compared signals is beyond the corresponding threshold value. According to the eject signal, corresponding defective pulse is forcibly ejected.

  • Patent number: 5390589
Abstract: A pearling machine has an abrasive type pearling roll assembly which is formed by stacking a plurality of pearling rolls via intervening air blowing spacers. Stirring bars are secured to the outer periphery of the individual pearling rolls. Resistance bars are provided on the inner surface of a vertical polygonal bran removal cylinder. With a cooperative function of the stirring and resistance bars, grains supplied to a pearling chamber defined by the pearling roll assembly and the bran removal cylinder receive active spinning and revolution action. The grains thus receive uniform cutting action, and thus they are pearled uniformly. The vertical pearling machine permits optimum pearling of grains in dependence on the kind and character of the grains and is suited particularly to the pearling of tempered wheat with outer layer part having been made tough and inner layer part having been made soft.
