  • Publication number: 20120218021
Abstract: A threshold computation apparatus obtains estimated interference power for an uplink from a terminal to a base station; a predetermined communication quality value necessary for the uplink; a maximum value of transmission power of the terminal; and transmission power of the base station for a downlink from the base station to the terminal. The apparatus subtracts a logarithmic value of the maximum value of the transmission power of the terminal from a logarithmic value of the transmission power of the base station for the downlink; adds a logarithmic value of the communication quality value and a logarithmic value of the estimated interference power to a result of the subtraction; and determines a result of the addition to be a logarithmic value of received power at the terminal; and computes a threshold based on the logarithmic value of the received power at the terminal and predetermined conditions.

  • Publication number: 20120106489
Abstract: A reference signal transmission scheduling device, which performs scheduling on uplink transmission of a reference signal (SRS) from a mobile terminal to a base station in a wireless communication system, is designed to appropriately allocate an SRS transmission resource to the mobile terminal in consideration of the current circumstances of the mobile terminal. Herein, the maximum value of an SRS bandwidth is calculated based on the maximum transmission-enabled power of the mobile terminal, while the minimum value of the SRS bandwidth is calculated based on the mobility of the mobile terminal. Additionally, the SRS bandwidth, which is actually used by the mobile terminal subjected to SRS transmission resource allocation, is determined within the range between the maximum value and the minimum value of the SRS bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20120052899
Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a macro-base station device and a CGS base station device normally connected to a CSG terminal device. When a non-CGS terminal device approaches the CGS base station device, the CGS base station device reduces a frequency band for transmitting packets to the CGS terminal device so as to reduce interference with the non-CGS terminal device while increasing transmission power to the CGS terminal device so as to compensate for degradation of radio quality due to a reduction of the frequency band. Based on existence or nonexistence of a non-CSG terminal device in the coverage area, the CSG base station device selects an appropriate antenna transmission mode and an appropriate scheduler mode while setting the number of OFDM symbols utilized by a physical control channel in notifying radio resource allocation information.

  • Publication number: 20110081938
Abstract: A transmission power control device is able to capture the serving sector measurement information of a mobile station with respect to a serving sector and the neighboring sector measurement information of the mobile station with respect to a neighboring sector. The transmission power control device selects a power control mode based on a decision as to whether or not the neighboring sector measurement information has been captured in an applied time in the past. The power level of a mobile station is determined based on the selected power control mode. Thus, it is possible to reduce inter-cell interference and inter-sector interference because the power level of a mobile station is determined in light of communication environments, even though the mobile station is connected with a base station in an LTE-based communication system which cannot always detect the neighboring sector measurement information.

  • Publication number: 20110063975
Abstract: A wireless resource allocation apparatus performs determining an amount of VoIP traffic for each terminal station; determining whether semi-persistent scheduling or dynamic scheduling is used for transmitting each packet of the VoIP traffic, based on a result of the determination for the amount of the VoIP traffic; managing, for each terminal station, a resource block allocated in the semi-persistent scheduling; and managing each resource block which is not managed for the allocation in the semi-persistent scheduling and is allocated in the dynamic scheduling. If it is determined that the dynamic scheduling is used for transmitting each packet of the VoIP traffic to a terminal station, the resource block, which has been managed for the relevant terminal station as a resource block allocated in the semi-persistent scheduling, is released, and the released resource block is managed as a resource block allocated in the dynamic scheduling.
