  • Patent number: 10266072
Abstract: In a power seat operation device, a slider that is supported so as to be slidable in a radial direction with respect to a dial slides toward the radial direction center of the dial during rotation of the dial. A knob engagement portion that is provided to the slider is thereby disposed between a pair of slider engagement portions that are provided to a knob. This enables rotational operation of the knob to be restricted. However, during rotational operation of the knob, one out of the pair of slider engagement portions opposes the knob engagement portion from toward the radial direction center of the dial. This enables rotational operation of the dial in conjunction with sliding of the slider to be restricted.

  • Patent number: 10192699
Abstract: In a power seat operation device, a micro switch is attached inside a dial that is rotatably provided to a side face of a power seat. An opening is formed inside the dial, with an operation portion of a knob to operate the micro switch inserted through the opening. There is accordingly a possibility that liquid might infiltrate into the dial, however a channel is formed inside the dial by the dial and the knob. The channel lets liquid flow downward to the lower side of the micro switch so as to discharge the liquid to outside the dial in cases in which liquid has infiltrated into the dial through the opening in a state in which the opening is positioned at the upper side of the micro switch. The channel is partitioned from the micro switch, enabling flow of liquid to the micro switch to be prevented or suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20180111507
Abstract: In a power seat operation device, a cam portion formed at a dial base has valleys and peaks that are alternately arranged in a row along a rotation direction of a dial so as to form an undulation in a radial direction. A slider is supported by the dial so as to be slidable in the radial direction. The slider is abutted against the cam portion by biasing force from a roller spring and fits into one out of the valleys so as to retain the dial at one of the rotary positions. During rotational operation of the dial, the slider crosses over at least one out of the peaks while elastically deforming the roller spring and sliding with respect to the dial.

  • Patent number: 6689967
Abstract: A slide switch capable of significantly reducing the number of parts therefor and facilitating assembling thereof. The slide switch includes a base provided thereon with fixed contacts, a slider provided thereon with a movable contact spring and arranged on the base so as to be movable in a desired direction while being guided by a combination of guide grooves and slide elements, and a restoring spring-equipped cover provided with restoring springs adapted to be pressed against four sides of the slider. The restoring spring-equipped cover is mounted on the base from a side of an upper surface of the slider, so that the slider slid in a desired direction may be returned to an original position by restoring force of the restoring springs, whereby selective contacting between the movable contact spring and the fixed contacts permits switching operation, mode changing-over operation and the like to be selectively carried out.

  • Patent number: 6657141
Abstract: An improved four-way switch is provided that can prevent erroneous switching operation. A closed circuit is formed by cooperatively tilting a control knob and a tiltable member in an intended direction or by depressing only the control knob, thus selectively providing electrical signals. The tiltable member, having contact spring units extended in four directions therefrom, and the control knob are disposed separately. The control knob is vertically engaged slidably into the square hole of the tiltable member. The protruded portions of the control knob are detachably engaged into the recessed portions of the tiltable member. When the center switch means is operated, only the control knob descends vertically and then restores. When the four-way switch means is operated, the tiltable member and the control knob operate in a linkage mode.

  • Patent number: 6608263
Abstract: A slide switch is provided wherein the slider can be universally slid smoothly with a small force and with high precision and accuracy. In the slide switch, to form a sliding bridge, two upper strips in parallel and two lower strips in parallel are integrally framed in a cross, square, or rectangular shape. The slider is mounted on the base in such a way that it can be slid freely and relatively in desired directions. Plural stationary contacts on the base are arranged oppositely to plural contacts of the movable contact spring piece of the slider. When the slider moves in a desired direction from its center and returns toward the center, the contacts of the movable contact spring piece are connected or disconnected to/from the stationary contacts of the base.

Abstract: A slide switch is provided wherein the slider can be universally slid smoothly with a small force and with high precision and accuracy. In the slide switch, to form a sliding bridge, two upper strips 3a, 3a in parallel and two lower strips 3b, 3b in parallel are integrally framed in a #-like, square, or rectangular shape. The lower strips 3b, 3b are respectively fitted into two guide grooves 5, 5 arranged in parallel on the surface of the base 1. The upper strips 3a, 3a are respectively fitted into two guide grooves 8 arranged in parallel on the lower surface of the slider 2. The sliding bridge 3 is inserted between the surface of the base 1 and the lower surface of the slider 2. The slider 2 is mounted on the base 1 in such a way that it can be slid freely and relatively in desired directions. Plural stationary contacts 4 on the base 1 are arranged oppositely to plural contacts of the movable contact spring piece 7 of the slider 2.

  • Patent number: 6342684
Abstract: A device for detecting the movement of an object in order to operate a switch, wherein a top or contact of an angled contact part of a contact spring piece of the device comes into contact with a set position of an object, such as a digital video cassette ( DVC) or other cassette or disk which is being transferred so that various kinds of detecting operations are performed. The contact spring piece of the detecting device is improved in durability by forming a flexible spring part, of a predetermined dimension, between an upright mounting plate part and a U-shaped spring part of the contact spring piece. The contact spring piece is made of a plate spring. The contact spring piece includes the upright mounting plate part, the U-shaped spring part, and the angled contact part such that a long spring span is formed between the upright mounting plate part and the angled contact part. The flexible spring part is made to flex by the load of the contact pressure of the object on the angled spring part.

  • Patent number: 5278370
Abstract: A push switch includes a sideway U-shaped spring element positioned in a recess of a holder which is precision-formed of plastic resin by molding while keeping upper and lower sections of the U-shaped spring element compressed. The lower section of the spring element being divided into an upper contact portion and a lower contact portion having a length larger than the upper contact portion. The contact spring element is then housed in a casing provided with fixed contacts. The contact spring element being pivotally supported though a support shaft in the casing while contacting the lower contact portion with a first fixed contact and striking an upper plate of the holder against a stopper to stop upward pivotal movement of the holder due to the restoring force of the spring element.
