  • Patent number: 10189110
Abstract: A plurality of cutout members are cut out from a plate blank by a plasma arc generated from a plasma torch by a method including a piercing step and a cutting step. In the piercing step, an aperture is formed on an outer peripheral side of a cutout member by maintaining the plasma torch at a first height from the plate blank on the outer peripheral side of the cutout member while the plasma arc is generated from the plasma torch and by moving the plasma torch relative to the plate blank in a horizontal direction. In the cutting step, a continuous cutting groove is formed along an outer contour of the cutout member by setting the plasma torch at a second height lower than the first height and by moving the plasma torch in the horizontal direction along an incision part and a processing line continuing to the incision part.

  • Patent number: 8729421
Abstract: A lattice pallet 13 having a large number of supporters for placing a plate 14 is installed to a table 12 so as to be freely fittable and removable. Bringing in of the plate 14 is performed by the method of raising the lattice pallet 13 with a crane with the plate 14 already having been loaded upon the lattice pallet 13 in a different location, transporting them over the table 12, and lowering them down onto the table 12. Directly after cutting has been completed, the lattice pallet 12 is raised and separated from the table 12 with the manufactured product and the left over material carried upon it and is taken away to a different location, and another lattice pallet 13 with another plate 14 mounted upon it is brought in with the crane upon the table 12, and the task of cutting this other plate 14 is commenced.

  • Patent number: 8161855
Abstract: A cutting machine secures safety of a worker during movement of a head without lowering production efficiency. When moving a cutting head without cutting material to be cut upon a table, a moving truck and the cutting head are moved at a higher speed as compared with when cutting the material to be cut. If, when the moving truck and the cutting head are moving at high speed, a worker who is present upon the table intercepts either of light beams which are located in front of and behind a horizontal beam, then this movement speed is decelerated to a safe low speed, but the task of cutting the material is not interrupted. Subsequently, when the worker approaches the horizontal beam closer, and contacts a wire or a bar in the vicinity of the horizontal beam, movement of the moving truck and the cutting head is forcibly stopped.

  • Patent number: 7674998
Abstract: To enable the amount of air capable of bringing smoke to the vicinity of a discharge opening of a gas discharge chamber to be sent into the gas discharge chamber. A cutting machine has gas discharge chambers arranged side by side by partitioning the inside of a table, blower openings each provided on one end side of a gas discharge chamber, gas discharge openings each provided on the other side of the gas discharge chamber, and fans for sending air, while moving to the outside of the table, to at least one gas discharge chamber from the blower opening of the gas discharge chamber and arranged in the direction of the movement. The fans are arranged at intervals such that two or more fans face the blower opening of one gas discharge chamber, and the two or more fans can simultaneously send air to the one gas discharge chamber.

  • Publication number: 20080066596
Abstract: In a thermal cutting machine such as plasma cutting machine or a laser cutting machine, control of the moving speed of a cutting head (24) is improved so as to increase throughput of the cutting machine with increase in cost restricted. Products are cut out one by one from a plate member (14) while a cutting head (24) is moved relative to the plate member (14) on a table (12). In this process, when the cutting head (24) is fast-forwarded without performing cutting to a position at which cutting of each product starts, the speed of movement in the direction (Y-axis direction) along a short side of the table (12) is controlled at a speed higher than that of the movement in the direction (X-axis direction) along a long side of the table. The pattern of a sequence of cutting out the products from the plate member (14) is a meandering pattern in which reciprocation in the Y-axis direction dominates and the movement in the X-direction is one time one way.
