    Abstract: Provided is a method for inspecting surface deformation of a structure which enables easy measurement of the amount of deformation of the surface of a structure protection sheet attached to the surface of a structure such as concrete. The method for inspecting surface deformation of a structure includes: identifying a structure protection sheet attached to a surface of a structure using an individual identification means; digitally photographing a surface of a resin layer on an outermost surface of the structure protection sheet using a digital photography means; measuring a dimension of the surface of the resin layer based on image data obtained in the digital photography using a dimension measuring means; and calculating an amount of deformation of the surface of the resin layer based on data of the measured dimension using a calculation means.

    Abstract: To shorten a long aging time required for meat processing and reducing the viable cell count of a carcass before being cooked, an electric stimulus is imparted by applying an AC voltage via from electrode needles to at least the neck and legs of the meat carcass. The AC voltage is turned on for a time Ton and then turned off for a time Toff, and the application of the voltage is repeated a predetermined number of cycles. The Ton period is not longer than the Toff period, although the first Ton period can be longer than the Toff period. The voltage is not higher than 100V, and the frequency is not higher than the commercial frequency (maximum, 60 Hz). The aging effect is improved by stimulating the entire meat carcass electrically from at most three points.

    Abstract: In each pixel region 41 of a liquid crystal TFT array substrate, formed are an ITO transparent electrode 43, a gate line 48, a data line 46, a TFT active device 45, an identification mark 50 and the like. The identification mark 50 is provided by forming a bar code made of silver on the gate line 48. Since the identification mark 50 is formed within the pixel region 41, a transistor to be repaired can be surely identified, for example, by detecting the identification mark in a repair processing of the TFT array substrate. Furthermore, in an information processing apparatus for inputting figures and characters onto a screen using a laser pen, a locus of the laser pen can be accurately specified by specifying a position of a pixel region from an identification mark detected by the laser pen, and the figures and the characters input can be recognized minutely.

    Abstract: By heating a film comprising an indium-zinc oxide (IZO) as its main component under an ambient atmosphere of low-concentration oxygen, a transparent conductive film showing a high transmittance of about 80% or more in a wavelength region of 450 to 3200 nm can be obtained. The electrical resistivity of the transparent conductive film is about 3.0×10−3 &OHgr;-cm or less. A film with IZO as its main component is substantially in amorphous form or microcrystalline form, and such a film may be fabricated by sputtering.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a wiring layer which has high thermal stability and a better stress migration resistance characteristic as an electrode wiring material that is used in a liquid crystal display and where there is no defect such as a hillock and the like and the electric resistance is considerably low. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a wiring layer which comprises at least two layers formed on a substrate. The two layers include: a first layer which has substantially aluminum for its main component and a second layer formed on the first layer which has substantially the same component as the first layer. Also, the second layer is higher in electric resistance than the first layer and has an amorphous phase for its main phase. The second layer may also include microcrystals which have a crystal particle diameter D.sub.2 smaller than a crystal particle diameter D.sub.1 of the first layer.

    Abstract: This invention provides a high switching rate tip for a high density recording system using scanning probe microscope (SPM). This new tip improves the switching rate in a data writing operation. This tip is constituted with a non-magnetic material core and a thin film coat of high permeable magnetic material. The diameter of the tip is on the order of 100 nm and the thickness of the high permeable magnetic coat is approximately 1000-2000 angstroms. The core is made of non magnetic material such as W, Pt, Ir, PtIr and Au. The magnetic coat is, for example, NiFe, CoZrNb, CoFeSiB. Further, this invention adopts a flat coil formed on a medium by lithography. The coil is used to switch the magnetization of the tip. This flat coil improves the process of the fabrication of a SXM recording device.
