  • Patent number: 8531452
Abstract: A video game machine includes a monitor which permits three-dimensional viewing, a virtual camera controller which selectively provides on-screen presentation in 2D display mode in which two virtual cameras for capturing images are matched with each other and in 3D display mode in which the two virtual cameras are set to achieve a prescribed distance therebetween, an image display controller which generates a 3D image presented on the monitor from image data acquired by the two virtual cameras, a display mode switching processor which repositions the two virtual cameras from the positional relationship in one display mode to the positional relationship in the other in a stepwise fashion. Switching between the 2D and 3D display modes is smoothened and stimulation of a player's eyes or brain caused by a sudden change between states with or without stereoscopic effect is suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20080026836
Abstract: In the present invention, a start count Ns of a game and an end count of a game finished properly Ne are compared. When the two do not agree a predetermined number of times, an error signal is generated. Based on this error signal, the game machine outputs an error display and an alarm sound to alert that an unauthorized conduct has been committed. Also, it is possible to give a penalty in a game played in the future based on the generated error signal.

  • Patent number: 5257867
Abstract: A printer having an adjusting apparatus for adjusting a head gap between a print head and a print sheet supported on a platen, is disclosed. In such printer, at first, a carriage 1 mounting the print head 8 thereon is advanced to the print sheet 6 by eccentrically rotating a guide bar 3 passed through a slide hole 1a with a solidable lubricant therebetween through a step motor 12 until a ribbon mask 9 contacts to the print sheet 6. And a drive pulse number Nm, which is input to the step motor 12 until the ribbon mask 9 contacts to the print sheet 6 and corresponds to moving distance of the carriage 1 from a standard position O, is calculated. Further, a value Na (=N1-Nm) representing a drive pulse number for the step motor 12 corresponding to a thickness of the print sheet 6, is calculated.
