  • Publication number: 20030113238
Abstract: A device for thermally or catalytically cleaning waste air containing combustible constituents including a combustion chamber, at least two receptacles containing heat storage mass for heating untreated gas before it is introduced into the combustion chamber and for heating the heat storage mass with cleaned gas from the combustion chamber, an untreated gas channel for feeding the untreated gas into the receptacles and a clean gas channel for discharging the clean gas from the receptacles. Each receptacle contains at least one inlet opening through which untreated gas is introduced into the receptacle from an untreated gas channel and at least one outlet opening through which cleaned gas is discharged from the receptacle into the clean gas channel. The inlet opening leads into a precombustion chamber between the inlet opening and the heat storage mass of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5661912
Abstract: Booth-type drier for a painting plant, in particular, for vehicle bodies, comprising a booth interior for receiving painted articles to be dried and at least one heating element arranged in the drier for heating the articles, the heating element being, for its part, heatable using waste air from the painting plant which has undergone thermal cleaning and has thereby been heated up and which is conducted through at least one pure gas pipeline, wherein to minimize the investment and operating costs, the pure gas pipeline is laid in the drier and designed to give off heat to the booth interior.

  • Patent number: 5443738
Abstract: To provide a recovery plant for surplus water paint in paint-spraying booths comprising a circuit of water circulating in the booth, wherein such problems with sedimenting water paint particles no longer arise, it is proposed that a volume flow of water circulating in the booth flow from the circuit of water circulating in the booth through a branch pipe to a preconcentration stage, that the preconcentration stage comprise a ring circuit with an ultrafiltration unit for continuously producing a preconcentrate in the ring circuit and a permeate which leaves the ring circuit, that the permeate flow into the circuit of water circulating in the booth and the preconcentrate into a final concentration stage, that the final concentration stage comprise a ring circuit with an ultrafiltration unit which increases the concentration of the preconcentrate in batches to the final concentrate and produces a permeate which flows into the circuit of water circulating in the booth.

  • Patent number: 5370792
Abstract: In order to improve an apparatus for removing wax particles from circulating water from spray booths, comprising a system tank, to which the circulating water coming from the spray booth can be fed via an inlet, such that an efficient removal of wax particles from the circulating water is possible, it is suggested that a separation zone be provided in the system tank following the inlet, the wax particles floating up into a layer near the surface in this separation zone, and that an intake of a suction means for a floating phase comprising the layer near the surface be arranged in the system tank on a side of the separation zone opposite to the inlet.

  • Patent number: 4257783
Abstract: An arrangement for separating paint residuals and solvents from the exhaust air of a paint spray chamber comprises a device for blowing a stream of supply air through the spray chamber to take along exhaust air containing paint and solvent particles, a filtering conveyor located below the chamber for intercepting from the exhaust air paint particles and discharging continuously the same, and a second conveyor arranged below the filtering conveyor and adapted for receiving and discharging a layer of adsorptive material that intercepts solvent particles remaining in the filtered exhaust air.
