  • Patent number: 9066264
Abstract: A method for status report triggering in a wireless communication entity is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a data unit segment wherein the data unit segment is a portion of an original data unit that has been re-segmented for transmission into a plurality of data unit segments. Then, determining that the data unit segment includes a last segment flag indicating that the data unit segment is a last segment of the plurality of data unit segments. Further, transmitting a status report containing a status report for the re-segmented data unit in response to determining that the data unit segment includes a last segment flag indicating that the data unit segment is a last segment.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2007
Date of Patent: June 23, 2015
    Assignee: Google Technology Holdings LLC
Inventors: Ravi Kuchibhotla, Satyanarayana B Rao, Yishen Sun
  • Patent number: 7684407
Abstract: A method for reporting missing data of a re-segmented data transmission in a wireless communication device is disclosed. The method comprises determining that a last re-segmented protocol data unit (PDU) segment of a re-segmented PDU has not been received. In response to determining that the last PDU segment has not been received, the method further comprises generating a status report, at a receiving wireless communication device. The status report comprises a beginning segment offset value identifying the byte position from an original PDU that begins the sequence of bytes that are carried in at least the re-segmented last PDU segment and an end segment unknown indicator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2007
Date of Patent: March 23, 2010
    Assignee: Motorola, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7215669
Abstract: Embedded addressing information is identified in a packet by providing a database including a plurality of records. Each record is operable to identify a packet having embedded addressing information and the embedded addressing information in the packet. Packets are compared to the database records to determine whether the packets include embedded addressing information. In response to determining that a packet includes embedded addressing information, the embedded addressing information is identified in the packet for translation between disparate addressing systems.

  • Patent number: 6944672
Abstract: A set of packetized fragments in which only a portion of the fragments carry translation information for the set of fragments is translated by storing in a memory fragments received before the translation information. In response to receiving the translation information, the fragments stored in the memory are translated based on the translation information. After receipt of the translation information, fragments are translated as they are received based on the translation information.
