  • Patent number: 8395491
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling driving stability of a vehicle wherein a number of input variables are used to control the driving speed of the vehicle to a limit speed. In order to prevent unstable driving conditions in a pre-controlled manner, a model-based stable limit speed of the vehicle is determined on the basis of measured variables that are detected by means of detection devices and represent the current steering angle and the current lateral acceleration, by including other quantities of the vehicle and/or the driving situation, and the driving speed is compared to the model-based stable limit speed of the vehicle, and based on the comparison result, the driving speed is adapted to the limit speed when the driving speed exceeds the limit speed.

  • Patent number: 7860623
Abstract: A process for increasing the stability of a vehicle upon acceleration on a roadway with a non-homogenous coefficient of friction, whereby a drive wheel is acted on by a braking force on a side with a low coefficient of friction by means of a drive slip regulation. A value (pASR) is determined which corresponds to the braking force (FB,ASR) set by the drive slip regulation (ASR). The value determined (pASR) is used for the determination of a disrupting yaw momentum (MZ), and a control portion (??Z) of a supplemental steering angle (??) is determined in dependence on the disrupting yaw momentum (MZ). An apparatus for the implementation of the process is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7093913
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for traction control of slipping wheels of at least one driving axle, which are driven by way of an open differential gear and can be interlocked by braking intervention to a defined, predeterminable degree for effecting a differential lock function. The invention discloses that the wheel slip of the wheels is detected, that the detected wheel slip variation is compared with predetermined wheel slip patterns for recognizing and monitoring a current driving condition, and that a braking intervention effecting the differential lock function is performed when the sensed wheel slip variation coincides with at least one predetermined wheel slip pattern. The invention allows an accelerated adjustment and control of a differential lock effect depending on the respective driving condition.

  • Publication number: 20040232764
Abstract: A method for improving the control behavior of a system for traction slip control by brake intervention (BASR), wherein a pressure value or nominal pressure referred to as a filling pulse is predetermined upon the entry into a traction slip control operation, the nominal pressure (EPnom) is determined on the basis of a PD controller according to the relation
