  • Patent number: 11110035
Abstract: A portable medicament case that includes a medicament provided in a package, and first and second housing members that are configured to form a medicament package receiving cavity when joined together. Each housing member including a mating member that is configured for engagement with the other housing member in order to join the first and second housing members together in a sealed configuration that prevents moisture or contaminants from entering into the cavity. Also, a magazine containing a plurality of medicament cases for administration of medicaments to a group of people, and a method of administering medications to mass casualties of multiple persons that are in need thereof. The medicaments are rapidly disintegratable and can include a dye that stains the person's mouth so that medical personnel can determine who has been treated with the medicament.

  • Patent number: 11086379
Abstract: Power conservation logic for a storage node operates in parallel with an emergency shutdown process in which an emergency power source is engaged and data and metadata are destaged from volatile memory to non-volatile managed drives. The power conservation logic serially implements power conservation actions until enough reserve power is available to complete the emergency shutdown process. The power conservation logic may learn how much power savings are realized from each conservation action and adjust the order in which the conservation actions are serially implemented, e.g. in order from greatest to least power consumption reduction.

  • Publication number: 20210136132
Abstract: The present invention is directed to intelligent and near real-time monitoring in a streaming environment. In embodiments, a streaming platform streams raw data from raw data capture devices, where the raw data is contextually enriched using multiple information sources. A rule execution operator, integrated within the streaming platform, detects events by executing rules against the contextually enriched data. The rules applied are customizable, flexible, multivariate, and dynamically responsive to changing information. When an event is detected, an action can be instantiated in response to the event detection and/or newly derived information. The action and/or instructions for performing the action are communicated to external sources, where the action can be initiated and/or completed. Accordingly, actions are instantiated in near real time relative to the initial receipt of raw data from which the events were detected. Actions may be delayed using sophisticated temporal reasoning, in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 10643137
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and methods for integrating flexible event detection into a near real-time streaming environment. A streaming platform streams raw data from multiple sources, adds contextual information to the raw data, and makes inferences from the enriched information. A rule execution operator, being integrated within the streaming platform, executes rules against the enriched information to detect events, using a rule repository that stores a plurality of flexible, dynamic, and customizable rules. When an event is detected by the rule execution operator, the streaming platform may use a middleware component to instantiate actions that are responsive to a detected event. Actions may be directly performed, and/or the actions and instructions for implementing or performing those actions are communicated to external devices.

  • Patent number: 10275570
Abstract: Methods, computer systems, and computer-storage medium are provided for providing closed loop alert management. An alert related to a patient is communicated to a first tier via a messaging application. The first tier comprises one or more clinicians assigned to care for the patient. Upon receiving a response from a clinician in the first tier, an indication the clinician has responded to the alert is communicated to the first tier. Upon receiving no response from a clinician in the first tier, the alert may be communicated to other devices associated with the clinicians in the first tier or to a subsequent tier comprising one or more other clinicians.

  • Patent number: 9921602
Abstract: In steady-state voltage stability analysis, as load increases toward a maximum, conventional Newton-Raphson power flow Jacobian matrix becomes increasingly ill-conditioned so power flow fails to converge before reaching maximum loading. A method to directly eliminate this singularity reformulates the power flow problem by introducing an AQ bus with specified bus angle and reactive power consumption of a load bus. For steady-state voltage stability analysis, the angle separation between the swing bus and AQ bus can be varied to control power transfer to the load, rather than specifying the load power itself. For an AQ bus, the power flow formulation is only made up of a reactive power equation, thus reducing the size of the Jacobian matrix by one. This reduced Jacobian matrix is nonsingular at the critical voltage point, eliminating a major difficulty in voltage stability analysis for power system operations.
