  • Publication number: 20240177551
Abstract: An ingress control system utilizes magnetic detection to determine whether the ingress control system is either allowing or disallowing ingress into a controlled area. The ingress control system includes a latch pin that is movably disposed within a latch assembly in the presence of a magnetic field. The magnetic field is created by a plurality of magnets disposed at non-zero angles relative to each other and the latch pin and latch assembly are introduced as magnetic poles disposed within the magnetic field. A magnetic sensor detects the presence of the latch pin within a receiving channel of the latch assembly by measuring a magnetic field magnitude above a threshold value. The magnetic sensor detects the absence of the latch pin within a receiving channel of the latch assembly by measuring a magnetic field magnitude below the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11983484
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, apparatus, systems, and computer readable storage media for interacting with one or more data objects in an online social network. A user interface includes a publisher with a custom action. The custom action is defined in accordance with custom action instructions provided by a first entity via an application programming interface (API). Such custom action instructions may declaratively or programmatically define the data object, the interaction to be performed with the data object, and other attributes associated with the custom action. A user may request to interact with the data object via selection of the custom action by a second entity. Information may be submitted through the publisher to interact with the data object to update a database system associated with the data object. A feed item may be presented for inclusion in the information feed based on the update.

  • Patent number: 11913627
Abstract: Systems and methods for using light switches to control lighting and other functions are disclosed. Each switch may be a manual switch that is mounted to a wall. A biasing device may be positioned proximate each switch. When a user moves the switch out of a first position and into a second position or toward a second position, the delivery of household power to one or more light units may be interrupted. However, when the user releases the switch, the biasing device may provide an immediate automatic return of the manual switch to the first position. The resulting short interruption in household power may be used as a signal for controlling operation of the one or more light units and/or other electronic devices installed at one or more lighting sites corresponding to the switch.

  • Patent number: 11535292
Abstract: In at least some implementations, an adjustable steering assembly for a vehicle includes a steering shaft, a steering input that is coupled to the steering shaft, and an adjustment device. The adjustment device has a drive member coupled to one of the steering input or the steering shaft, and a reaction member coupled to the other one of the steering input or the steering shaft. The drive member rotates with said one of the steering input or the steering shaft to which the drive member is coupled to permit steering rotation of the steering shaft, and the drive member is rotated relative to said one of the steering input or the steering shaft to which the drive member is coupled to change the rotational position of the steering input relative to the steering shaft.

  • Publication number: 20120055959
Abstract: A shape retainer is provided for use with a bag, the shape retainer having a pillow having a form that provides structural support for maintaining a predetermined shape, and a stuffing that is provided inside the form. The shape retainer further includes an outer casing made of a fabric material, the outer casing having an interior space with pockets to hold a desiccant and sachet, and an opening through which the pillow may be inserted into or removed from the interior space, the outer casing surrounding the pillow. The shape retainer is inserted through an opening of the bag into an interior cavity of the bag, the shape retainer positioned inside the cavity to provide support to the walls of the bag.

  • Patent number: 5141774
Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus and process for coating hollow objects at precise bands within the internal cavity of the object. The process utilizes centrifugal force to apply the fluid to the object. A probe is moved from underneath the object thereby utilizing gravitational forces to prevent spillage of the material from the probe. A computer controls the pumping rate, the vertical movement of the probe and the rotational speed of the probe to allow the machine to precisely coat a band on the internal cavity of an article. The computer controlled operation eliminates the necessity to waste material. One application of the invention is in the coating of the threads of nuts with Teflon.
