  • Patent number: 11913359
Abstract: The disclosure provides a nozzle adapted for placement within a flowpath of a turbomachine. The nozzle includes an airfoil having a suction side; a pressure side opposing the suction side; a leading edge between the pressure side and the suction side; a trailing edge opposing the leading edge and between the pressure side and the suction side; a root region at a first radial end; a tip region at a second radial end opposite the first radial end; and a midspan region between the root region and the tip region. An endwall is connected with the root region or the tip region of the airfoil along the suction side, the pressure side, the trailing edge, and the leading edge. The trailing edge of the airfoil has an elliptical shape having a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in TABLE I.

  • Patent number: 11741857
Abstract: In an aspect, a kit for applying a decoration to human skin is provided, and includes a sticker backing sheet with a sticker thereon and a coating backing sheet having a coating thereon. The sticker has first and second faces and adhesives on both faces. A first adhesive force between the first adhesive and human skin is greater than a second adhesive force between the second adhesive and the sticker backing sheet, thereby permitting the sticker to adhere to the skin while peeling off the sticker backing sheet therefrom. The coating is adhered to the coating backing sheet. A third adhesive force between the coating and the sticker is greater than a fourth adhesive force between the coating and the coating backing sheet, so the coating adheres to the sticker while peeling off the coating backing sheet. The coating does not adhere to skin.

  • Publication number: 20230211252
Abstract: In an aspect, a kit is provided for constructing a craft from a plurality of blocks. Each block has an exterior surface that is made from a material that is adherent when exposed to water so as to permit the blocks to adhere to one another. A block tray supports the plurality of blocks. The kit includes a water dispenser for dispensing water and a storage container. The storage container includes a lower housing member that contains at least one block storage compartment for holding the blocks, and a cover to mount at least indirectly to the lower housing member. The cover is openable, and is sized to fit over the block tray while the block tray holds the blocks. The cover further includes an opening that is sized to permit, during use, a user to dispense water onto the plurality of blocks on the block tray.

  • Publication number: 20230211251
Abstract: In an aspect, a kit is provided for constructing a craft, and includes a plurality of blocks. Each block has a main body having an exterior surface that is made from a material that is adherent when exposed to water so as to permit the blocks to adhere to one another. Each block further includes a top surface and a block projection extending from the top surface. Each block further includes a bottom aperture extending into the main body towards the top surface, and defining a longitudinal axis. The bottom aperture includes a first aperture region that is shaped to receive the block projection of the second block of the plurality of blocks. The bottom aperture includes a second aperture region that is shaped to receive a distal portion of a block tray projection on a block tray.

  • Patent number: 11236624
Abstract: A turbine nozzle for a turbine includes: an airfoil having a shape with a nominal profile substantially in accordance with at least a portion of Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z set forth in TABLE I. The Cartesian coordinate values are non-dimensional values of from 0% to 100% convertible to distances by multiplying the values by a height of the airfoil expressed in units of distance. The X and Y values are connected by smooth continuing arcs to define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z along at least a portion of the airfoil, and the profile sections at the Z distances are joined smoothly with one another to form the nominal profile.

  • Patent number: 8870558
Abstract: An earplug shaping device compresses a compressible earplug prior to insertion of the earplug into a user's ear canal. The device includes a first member and a second member which rotate with respect to each other. The outer surface of the first member and inner surface of the second member define a space that decreases in size as the first and second members rotate with respect to each other, thereby compressing the compressible earplug. Various embodiments of the earplug shaper employ a ratchet mechanism permitting substantially only one direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6185826
Abstract: An electrically operated slicing knife includes an axially movable switch guard overlying the switch of the knife. The switch guard is movable to a first position whereat the switch is uncovered and a second position whereat the switch is covered to prevent a user from actuating the switch. A pair of user actuated buttons control ejection of the blade of the knife. When the buttons are in a first position, the blade is locked relative to the knife handle, and the switch guard when positioned to uncover the knife switch maintains the buttons in their locked position. When the switch guard is moved to cover the switch, the buttons can be actuated by a user to unlock the blades from the knife handle.
