  • Patent number: 10197026
Abstract: The present invention provides one filter with multiple retention locations integrated into a plastic connector that is attached to the filter for connecting the filter to a pump inlet by means of a retention post. A sock style filter is disclosed that incorporates a channel or a flat tab in the periphery of the plastic outlet port for providing a finite or infinite number of locations for retention of a post on a pump or other connection to allow for multiple alignment positioning of the filter with respect to the mating parts such as the pump body, fuel pump assembly, module can or fuel tank.

  • Publication number: 20170173500
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a filter and a method of forming the filter which includes two layers of filtering media and outer plastic ribs that form a flat structure. When the ribs are moved towards each other, the two layers of filtration media are separated apart to form a cylindrical filtration structure for mounting to a connecting unit.

  • Patent number: 9638151
Abstract: A flow-through fitting and filter assembly is provided including a fitting body with a cavity, and a filter coupled to fitting body and positioned within the cavity. The filter includes a filter support and a filter element mounted on the filter support. A first end portion of the filter support is of a generally cylindrical cup shape including an outer annular wall in close sliding relationship the inner wall forming a fitting cavity to provide a guiding function while passages in the first end portion provide relief of fluid from the end of the cavity. A second end portion of the filter support includes an outer annular surface having an outer annular diameter greater than the inner annular diameter of the inner annular surface of the fitting body to create an interference fit and a fluid seal.

  • Publication number: 20120248024
Abstract: A filter and replacement filter cartridge is provided with a pulsation dampener mounted and sealed to the filter cartridge basket at an inner diameter thereof. The pulsation dampener is captive to the basket such that removal of the basket from the filter housing canister removes all of the basket, filter media, and pulsation dampener as a single unit without separate, loose parts thereof. An axial extension section of the basket facilitates gripping and removal, and maintains a fully seated installed filter position. Sealing is provided without a section of the pulsation dampener interposed between the filter housing canister and lid.
