  • Patent number: 10534064
Abstract: Systems and methods for locating one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are provided. A phase difference of received information signals of illuminated RFID tags is utilized to locate the RFID tags. One or more exciters transmit interrogation signals to illuminate the RFID tags in which the exciters may have a plurality of antenna selectively configured to transmit through two or more antennas and to receive on one antenna. Multiple reads of the same RFID tag can also be performed to generate a probability model of the location of the RFID tag. An enhanced particle filter is applied to probability model to determine the exact location of the RFID.

  • Publication number: 20190130354
Abstract: Provided are various mechanisms and processes for optimizing real-time, on-demand deliveries of perishable goods. In one aspect, a method is provided for aggregating on-demand deliveries using a depot dispatch protocol. The method comprises dispatching runners to pick up on-demand orders for drop off at a depot where the orders are aggregated and batched based on optimized delivery routes and destination proximities. Batches of orders are then assigned to couriers who may arrive at the depot to receive the batched orders without having to navigate through areas of high congestion. Such delivery routing system may be implemented alongside a delivery tracking system for generating estimated time of arrival predictive updates for real-time delivery of perishable goods.

  • Publication number: 20190082582
Abstract: A scouting system can include an autonomous ground vehicle having a perception sensor and a motion sensor to construct an occupancy grid referenced to a coordinate system of the autonomous ground vehicle. The autonomous ground vehicle is configured to use information from the occupancy grid to detect crop rows in a crop field. The autonomous ground vehicle is configured to identify and classify one or more non-crop plant in-lier objects arranged within the crop rows and generate an output signal received by an external vehicle to cause the external vehicle to perform a task when the one or more non-crop plant in-lier objects are identified within the crop rows.

  • Publication number: 20190000052
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments directed to a soft-bodied fishing lure which extends a fish hook when a fish bites on a back region of the lure. In its default or natural resting position, the soft-bodied fishing lure keeps the hook in a retracted state to prevent or otherwise substantially reduce the frequency of the hook becoming snagged on weeds, algae, and matted vegetation when the lure is being fished. In some embodiments, the hook may be secured to the soil-bodied fishing lure in a substantially vertical orientation by a set of nylon plastic members that were previously molded with the soft-body material of the lure. These nylon plastic members, which advantageously do not rust or exhibit the same sharp edging as metallic components, restrict motion of the hook in undesirable directions so as to substantially prevent engagement of the hook with the soft-body material of the lure.
