  • Patent number: 11255642
Abstract: An armored vehicle cab with enhanced blast protection accomplished with wedge to wedge interfaces between the cab doors and the cab side walls that are approximately 90 degrees out of synch with each other to provide both fore/aft and vertical buffering of blast force applied to the cab floor in order to shift energy from cab door hinges to the wedges (and the structures to which they are mounted) which are in contact with each other. These enhancements will maintain door functionality post blast event (door will open and close).

  • Patent number: 9828076
Abstract: A power management system comprises a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), a tether management system (TMS), and an umbilical operatively in communication with the TMS external electrical power interface and the TMS-to-ROV umbilical interface. The system can be configured to provide electrical power management that moves some or all of the electrical power required for ROV propulsion and tooling to the ROV and/or TMS, and maximizes available power and manages loads across all systems as necessary and by priority. Power management may also be required that features intelligent routing of power to subsystems and integration of variable frequency drives (VFDs).

  • Patent number: 9074763
Abstract: A portable alcohol burner is designed to use ethanol as a fuel for indoor/outdoor settings. The burner has a fuel chamber filled with ceramic fiber filler permeated with alcohol. A perforated baffle cage is fitted in the housing and is completely surrounded by the filler material. As alcohol vapors escape from the fuel chamber and rise through the perforations in the baffle cage they can be ignited to create a desired pleasing flame pattern.

  • Publication number: 20130216966
Abstract: The present invention relates general to an alcohol burner that uses liquid alcohol as a fuel source and has an increased burn time, controlled combustion and a smaller footprint. In various embodiments, the present invention introduces a system of double stacked baffles with two separate functions. The upper baffle area optimizes controlled combustion, while the lower baffle area optimizes heat transfer from the combustion area down into the fuel storage area. The lower baffle also provides a steady vapor supply to the upper baffle area. By dividing these functions, the burner in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can store fuel vertically, rather than needing to be spread out horizontally. Embodiments of the present invention thus facilitate a wide range of practical configurations for consumer uses not previously possible.
