Patent number: 11977874Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, an identity of a vehicle operator may be determined and a vehicle operator profile and/or operating data regarding autonomous operation features of the vehicle may be received after the vehicle operator opts into a rewards program and agrees to share their data. Autonomous operation and vehicle operator risk levels associated with operation of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. Based upon the risk levels and/or comparison thereof, one or more autonomous operation features may be disengaged. A preparedness level of the vehicle operator to assume or reassume control of operating the vehicle is determined prior to disengagement. If satisfactory, an alert is presented to the vehicle operator prior to disengagement of the autonomous operation features.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance CompanyInventors: Brian Mark Fields, Chien Che Huang, Mohamed A. Patent number: 11961136Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to processing and executing digital asset transfers between two users. An example method includes receiving a data object defining a digital asset transfer, and the data object may be a query from the first user to initiate an outbound transfer to a second user or an approval of a request for digital asset units from the second user. The method further includes retrieving account balance data objects associated with the digital asset accounts for the first and second users. The method further includes, responsive to determining that the digital asset transfer satisfies one or more transfer conditions, executing the digital asset transfer by executing a closed-loop debit from the first user and executing a closed-loop credit to the second user. The method further includes updating the account balance data object to reflect the resulting balances of each digital asset account.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: BAKKT MARKETPLACE, LLCInventors: Nicolas Frederic Cabrera, Jeffrey Scott Pittelkau, Nikolais Linsteadt, Joseph Arthur Revnes, Brian Daniel Cooper, William Matthau, Christopher Michael Petersen, Yamini Bistesh Sagar, Utkarsh Agarwal, Tim Kuchlein, Bharath Lakshmanan, William Andrew Bryant, Stephen Paul Saucier, Deepak Kumar, Anil Jaiswal, Byungkwon Jeon, Balaji Devarasetty

Patent number: 11954482Abstract: According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for operating an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be provided. With the customer's permission, an identity of a vehicle operator may be identified and a vehicle operator profile may be retrieved. Operating data regarding autonomous operation features operating the vehicle may be received from vehicle-mounted sensors. When a request to disable an autonomous feature is received, a risk level for the autonomous feature is determined and compared with a driver behavior setting for the autonomous feature stored in the vehicle operator profile. Based upon the risk level comparison, the autonomous vehicle retains control of vehicle or the autonomous feature is disengaged depending upon which is the safer driver—the autonomous vehicle or the vehicle human occupant. As a result, unsafe disengagement of self-driving functionality for autonomous vehicles may be alleviated.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance CompanyInventors: Brian Mark Fields, Chien Che Huang, Mohamed A. Publication number: 20240113974Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. Method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on client; retrieving reputation data associated with host name from a local cache on client; and determining a policy based on host name and the reputation data. Based on determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to host name to produce blocked attempted network flows. Method also includes sending attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on client; transmitting the attempted network flow metadata from the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel; and producing an anomaly report from the transmitted attempted network flow metadata. The anomaly report includes at least one of anomalies, cohorts, trends, location boundaries, detected network security issues, detected compromised clients and/or optimized network usage.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: MOBILE SONIC, INC.Inventors: Joseph T. Publication number: 20240095723Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are generally directed to processing conversions of digital assets to fiat currency. An example method includes obtaining a conversion rate for a digital asset via an API, providing the conversion rate via a client device, receiving a digital asset conversion request and executing a digital asset conversion within a configurable time period. Executing the digital asset conversion includes causing digital asset units to be debited from the digital asset user account and causing fiat currency units to be credited to a fiat currency user account. The method further includes dynamically providing a notification of execution of the digital asset conversion via the client device, updating account balance data objects associated with the digital asset user account and the fiat currency user account, and subsequent to executing the digital asset conversion, executing a fiat currency transaction (e.g., a settlement) with a digital asset exchange system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Christopher Michael Petersen, Jeffrey Scott Pittelkau, Nikolais Linsteadt, Joseph Arthur Revnes, Brian Daniel Cooper, William Matthau, Yamini Bistesh Sagar, Nicolas Frederic Cabrera, Utkarsh Agarwal, Tim Kuchlein, Bharath Lakshmanan, William Andrew Bryant, Stephen Paul Saucier, Deepak Kumar, Anil Jaiswal, Byungkwon Jeon, Balaji Devarasetty

Patent number: 11186360Abstract: Methods of retracting a strut assembly for stowing aircraft landing gear comprise longitudinally translating an upper bulkhead within an upper tubular housing from a lower position to an upper position by pressurizing an upper bulkhead space between an upper plate of the upper bulkhead and an upper bulkhead restriction structure that is fixed to the upper tubular housing. Other methods of retracting a strut assembly for stowing aircraft landing gear comprise flowing liquid from an upper liquid chamber positioned above an upper bulkhead within an upper tubular housing to a recoil chamber, wherein during the flowing, the liquid is prevented from passing from the recoil chamber to a pressure chamber that is defined between the upper bulkhead and a lower bulkhead, thereby longitudinally translating a lower tubular housing upward.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2019Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Justin Duane Cottet, James E.
