Publication number: 20240146781Abstract: A method for collaboration using digital notes. A facilitator starts a session during a video conferencing with participants and can share a screen with the participants. The screen displays a code, a session ID, and a link. Participants join the session by scanning the code with a camera, entering the session ID, or accessing the link. During the session, the participants can create digital notes or scan physical notes to have them converted to digital notes. The facilitator then receives the digital notes sent from the participants during the session and moves the digital notes to a group on the facilitator's screen. Since the facilitator's screen is shared with the participants, any participant can view the digital notes in the group from all of the participants for collaboration as controlled by the facilitator.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2022Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Lisa M. Patent number: 11193558Abstract: A dual bidirectional input to single bidirectional output transmission (or gear box) comprising of unique gear ratios between each of the bidirectional inputs and the single, or common, bidirectional output is disclosed. The gear box has a gear train design with two bidirectional inputs and one (or common) bidirectional output. The device is configured to enable torque to be transmitted through either one or both of the bidirectional inputs to the bidirectional output. The gear train may be a constant mesh system which eliminates sliding splines, dog clutches or synchronizers to switch between operational modes. A locking feature/component/element allows the power or torque to be transmitted from a first bidirectional input to the common bidirectional output using a second bidirectional input as a fixed rotation reference. Similarly power or torque from the second bidirectional input to the common bidirectional output may use the first bidirectional input as a fixed rotation reference.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2019Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: Loc Performance Products, LLCInventor: Scott C Miller

Patent number: 10986001Abstract: A monitoring station deployed in a network monitors packets over one or more interfaces in the network. The monitoring station identifies a flow in a media session. The flow includes at least one request message that includes a request for a segment or chunk of video content and one or more response messages including the requested chunk. The monitoring determines a start of a chunk in the flow and determines an end of the chunk in the flow. Using the start and end times of the chunk and next or subsequent chunks, the monitoring station determines one or more chunk statistics, such as chunk size, chunk duration and chunk download time.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2018Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: NOKIA SOLUTIONS AND NETWORKS OYInventors: Katherine H. Patent number: 9756529Abstract: A method and system for coordinated dynamic access to radio spectrum for wireless networking includes defining a coordinated access band (CAB) from which radio access network (RAN) managers may request spectrum allocations in the form of time bound spectrum leases for their respective requesting base stations. In one embodiment of the present invention, a DIMSUMnet architecture is implemented to make some fundamental choices and to centralize the collection of information, such as spectral occupancy, thermal and adjacent frequency interference. Such collected information is subsequently used by a spectrum broker in making spectrum allocation decisions. The DIMSUMnet architecture of the present invention also introduces a RAN manager element to centralize the task of acquiring time bound spectrum leases and for configuring the base stations.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2015Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: Alcatel LucentInventors: Milind M. Patent number: 9462069Abstract: A network comprises agents which act as proxies on behalf of devices, such as wireless game devices, phones and personal digital assistants. Each agent collects information concerning a “presence status” of a device. An agent determines whether to forward messages on to a device depending on the collected presence status (e.g., active/inactive) of the device. For example, if the presence status indicates the device is active then messages will be forwarded. If, however, the status indicates the device is inactive the message will not be forwarded. Instead, the agent may act as a proxy for the device while it is inactive. By only forwarding messages when a device is active, valuable airlink time and/or bandwidth can be conserved.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2006Date of Patent: October 4, 2016Assignee: Alcatel LucentInventors: Girish P.
