  • Patent number: 11149788
Abstract: A bearing assembly includes an outer race having an inner surface defining a concave contour and an inner race positioned in the outer race. The inner race has an inner surface defining a bore therethrough and an outer surface defining at least one groove circumscribing the outer surface. A plurality of rolling elements is rollably located in the groove and is in rolling contact with the inner surface of the outer race. A lubricious liner has an inner liner-surface and an exterior liner-surface, the exterior liner-surface being disposed on the inner surface defining the bore. The lubricious liner has a modulus of compression of a magnitude sufficient to allow misalignment of the inner liner-surface relative to the exterior liner-surface in response to a force applied thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060104553
Abstract: A linear bearing assembly comprising first and second cylindrical members. A first race member is positioned between the first and second cylindrical members. A plurality of rolling elements are positioned between the first cylindrical member and the second cylindrical member such that the first and second cylindrical members are linearly adjustable relative to one another. An adjustment mechanism is positioned between the plurality of rolling elements and one of the cylindrical members and is adjustable to remove any radial clearance between the rolling elements and the cylindrical members. The linear bearing assembly is well-suited for use with spindle applications, such as machine tools.

  • Publication number: 20060010623
Abstract: An electric toothbrush including a handle, a battery and a motor in the handle, a head, and a tuft carrier movably mounted on the head for oscillation about an axis. The tuft carrier also moves axially as the carrier oscillates. This three-dimensional motion is provided by a plurality of cams and a plurality of cam followers on the head and the tuft carrier. The cam followers engage the cams such that as the tuft carrier oscillates back-and-forth, the cam followers ride up and down over the cams consequently raising and lowering the tuft carrier with respect to the toothbrush head.

  • Publication number: 20050279379
Abstract: A dental flosser includes a handle and a dental floss holder releasably received by the handle. The dental floss holder includes a base, a pair of arms for holding a length of dental floss, and a toothpick extending from the base. The handle includes a receiver in which the toothpick on the dental floss holder is received. The handle and the dental floss holder cooperate to prevent transverse movement of the dental floss holder.
