  • Patent number: 8332488
Abstract: Disclosed in one example is a data access method in which a request for application data from a first application is received. The application data is searched for in a first cache and responsive to a miss from the first cache, a second cache is contacted over a network and searched. Responsive to a miss from the second cache, a third cache is contacted over a network and searched. The third cache being specific to one of a plurality of geographical areas, the third cache storing data for the first application and a plurality of other applications executing in that geographical area, the searching for the application data in the third cache including searching data stored by the plurality of other applications and data stored by the first application. If the third cache misses, a persistent store is contacted over a network and searched. If any of the first, second, or third caches hits, receiving the application data.

  • Patent number: 8155639
Abstract: A system and method for antenna analysis and electromagnetic compatibility testing in a wireless device utilizes a “parent” device that undergoes rigorous conventional testing. A “child” device having similar components may thereafter undergo abbreviated testing. Because the Total Isotropic Sensitivity of the parent device is known, testing may be performed on the child device to infer equivalence to the parent's TIS performance using the abbreviated test techniques.

  • Publication number: 20110212783
Abstract: The APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A ONLINE GAME MANAGER (“OGM”) transform user social graph and online behavioral pattern data inputs via OGM components into optimized server computational load reports. In one embodiment, the OGM may process a user server migration request for a user by obtaining user social graph data identifying co-users, and social activity pattern data associated with the user and the co-users. The OGM may also obtain server load indices of servers associated with the co-users, and server load analysis rules. By analyzing the server load indices using the server load analysis rules, the OGM may identify a subset of the servers as non-overloaded transfer candidate servers. The OGM may calculate transfer candidate server scores for the non-overloaded transfer candidate servers using the user social graph data and the social activity pattern data.

  • Publication number: 20100120382
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which relate to mitigating the detrimental effects of interference to electronic devices from mobile telephones utilizing any form of time-domain multiplexing technology. A wireless transmitter inside the mobile telephone broadcasts a warning transmission which can be received by affected devices. Once the warning transmission is received by an affected device, the device activates a blanking circuit comprising an actuator and a switch or switches. The switches open for the duration of the interference so that the user does not receive undesired output such as: noise through a speaker, noise through a microphone, or other interference with electrical signals.

  • Publication number: 20100042558
Abstract: A new standardized Universal Transaction Code (10), as well as a standard Universal Transaction Directory (30). These two core components form the foundation of an Integrated Transaction and Accounting System (FIG. 1). This system will provide the framework to enable several disparate; identification methods, transaction accounting methods, transaction receipt methods, transaction storage methods, and website access methods to work together providing a synergistic effect. The benefits for the consumer are: simple, nearly automatic, personal finance tracking, as well as standardized transaction record and website access. An automatic way of tracking finances will increase a consumer's awareness of his or her spending practices thereby exposing and highlighting frivolous spending.

  • Publication number: 20090177517
Abstract: A system for tracking a contract is disclosed. The system may include a user input interface configured to receive a user request to track a contract from a contract administrator, a storage device configured to store contract-related information, and a processor. The processor may be configured to determine a list of approvers who need to approve the contract based on a financial impact of the contract and determine a signature approver who needs to sign the contract from the list of approvers. The processor may be further configured to generate an approval and signature request and send the approval and signature request to each approver on the list of approvers, and notify employees of one or more departments when the contract is signed.
