  • Patent number: 9927066
Abstract: A system and method for recharging at least one fluid cylinder using a first fluid cylinder. The system uses a flow indicating switch which can comprise an internal magnetic source to detect the flow of fluid. The flow indicating switch is in communication with an electronic sequencing module. The electronic sequencing module controls the order and timing of discharge from the first fluid cylinder into the at least one fluid cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9243753
Abstract: A system and method for using the system for recharging at least one compressed gas cylinder using a first compressed gas storage cylinder and at least a second compressed gas storage cylinder. The system uses a flow indicating switch with an internal magnetic source to detect the flow of gas. The flow indicating switch is in communication with an electronic sequencing module. The electronic sequencing module controls the order and timing of discharge from the first compressed gas storage cylinder or the second compressed gas storage cylinder into the at least one compressed gas cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20120168007
Abstract: The High Pressure Flow Indicating Switch devise and method is used to monitor the flow of a gaseous, liquid or finely divided solid material through pipes, tubing or equipment. This devise is an improvement over technology available at the present time due to its accuracy over an extremely wide range of pressure/flow, simplicity of operation and low cost to manufacture. This High Pressure Flow Indicating Switch is primarily comprised of a pressure confining cylinder housing through which a magnetic field can pass with minimal distortion, a piston containing a magnetic source which emits a magnetic field and a reed/proximity switch mounted to the exterior of the pressure cylinder housing which monitors the position of the magnetic field. As a liquid or gas passes through the cylinder housing, the piston with its magnetic field is displaced and moves in the direction of the material flow.

  • Publication number: 20120031525
Abstract: The Flow Indicating Switch (FIS) triggered Automatic Sequencing Cascade System and method is used to control the correct sequential discharge of compressed gas storage cylinders into one or more compressed gas cylinders(s) which are being recharged by the monitoring of compressed gas flow quantity. The primary purpose of the FIS Auto-Cascade is maximize the efficient use of the compressed gas within the storage cylinders by minimizing the possibility of to human error which will result in the overall loss of the total system recharging potential. The secondary purpose of the system use is for the ability to Auto-Cascade recharge cylinders in an area remote to the cascade storages cylinders and main valve body such as would be the case when this system is used in association with a Firefighter Breathing Air replenishment System (FBARS) for use in “tall” or “sprawling” structure such as those discussed in the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) documentation.
