  • Patent number: 11989394
Abstract: Devices, methods and graphical user interfaces for manipulating user interfaces based on fingerprint sensor inputs are provided. While a display of an electronic device with a fingerprint sensor displays a first user interface, the device may detect movement of a fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor. In accordance with a determination that the movement of the fingerprint is in a first direction, the device allows navigating through the first user interface, and in accordance with a determination that the movement of the fingerprint is in a second direction different from the first direction, the device allows displaying a second user interface different from the first user interface on the display.

  • Patent number: 5596644
Abstract: Spatialization of soundfields is accomplished by filtering audio signals using filters having unvarying frequency response characteristics and amplifying signals using amplifier gains adapted in response to signals representing sound source location and/or listener position. The filters are derived using a singular value decomposition process which finds the best set of component impulse responses to approximate a given set of head related transfer functions. Efficient implementations for rendering reflection effects, and for spatializing multiple sound sources and/or generating multiple output signals are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5000568
Abstract: An optical time domain reflectometer that injects at least two complementary code sequences into an optical fiber and detects the return signal produced by each of these code sequences. These return signals are processed to extract the function h.sub.k that is equal to the response function for the fiber when a single pulse is injected into the fiber. This processing utilizes a correlation scheme that has no sidelobe distortion. Various combinations of Golay codes are suitable for use as the complementary codes.

  • Patent number: 4812038
Abstract: A method of dynamically changing the measurement window and operating parameters of the instrument, based on intermediate results, in order to minimize the total time required to make a complete measurement. Also, a method of combining partial results from subwindows into a final result to be displayed that has not been corrupted by variation in system response due to time-varying operating parameters.
