  • Publication number: 20240099780
Abstract: A spine measurement system comprises an optical measurement probe, one or more targets, a fluoroscope, and a remote station. A-P and lateral images of the spine are taken using the fluoroscope and provided to the remote station. The remote station includes computer vision that can identify endplates and pedicle screws in the spine. The computer vision in the remote station is further used to identify vertebra and bone landmarks of the spine. The remote station can generate quantitative measurement data such as Cobb angles and axial rotation of the spine from the fluoroscope images that correspond to the spine deformity. The optical measurement probe can send images of the spine with pedicle screw extenders extending from the pedicle screws to the remote station. The remotes station using computer vision can provide spine metrics in real-time by tracking position of the pedicle screw extenders.

  • Patent number: 9301895
Abstract: A medical chair includes a base and a pair of arm rests supported relative to the base for movement between a raised position and a lowered position relative to the base. The raised position of at least one of the arm rests is upward and forward of its lowered position to provide support to a patient when exiting the chair. For example, the arm rest may be mounted relative to the base to move between the raised position and the lowered position along a linear path.

  • Publication number: 20150127393
Abstract: Methods and systems for upgrading passengers from commercial airline flights to private aircraft flights are disclosed. The problem of having a return flight of a private aircraft without revenue generating passengers is solved by selecting a commercial airline flight which best overlaps the return flight of the private aircraft, and offering commercial airline passengers booked on the selected commercial airline flight an opportunity to upgrade to the private aircraft flight. Commercial airline passengers willing to upgrade pay an incremental fee which may be used to offset the cost of the return flight of the private aircraft. Commercial airline passengers may be selected based on their participation in commercial airline marketing programs such as those based on total accumulated miles flown.

  • Patent number: 7615479
Abstract: An electronic assembly. The assembly includes a substrate, a plurality of recessed regions, and a plurality of functional blocks. Each functional block is deposited in one of the recessed regions. A substantial amount of the plurality of functional blocks is recessed below a top surface of the substrate. Substantial amount is defined by any one of less than 10% of said functional blocks protrudes above the top surface of the substrate; less than 1% of the functional blocks protrudes above the top surface of the substrate; more than 90% of the functional blocks are recessed below the top surface of the substrate; or more than 99% of the functional blocks are recessed below the top surface of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20090056113
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for an electronic assembly. The method comprises depositing a functional block into a recessed region, forming dielectric layer selectively over at least one of a selected portion of the functional block and a selected portion of the first substrate; and forming one or more electrical interconnections to the functional block. The recessed region is formed on a first substrate. The depositing of the functional block occurs on a continuous web line and using a Fluidic Self Assembly process. The functional block has a width-depth aspect ratio that substantially matches a width-depth aspect ratio of said recessed region which is one of equal to or less than 10.5:1, and equal to or less than 7.5:1.

  • Patent number: 7353598
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for an electronic assembly. A material is selectively printed on a web substrate at one or more selected areas. The web substrate includes a plurality of functional components having integrated circuits. A local printing system equipped with a print head that dispenses the selected material is used to print. The print head is coupled to a guidance system capable of registering an alignment feature on the web substrate.

  • Publication number: 20060117554
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for the protection of radio frequency identification (RFID) devices are described. In one aspect, a static dissipative material is applied to a web of antenna structures. A coating of the static dissipative material is applied continuously across a plurality of antenna structures of a roll of the web material. An RFID integrated circuit (IC) is attached to the web of antenna structures with the dissipative coating, then subsequently tested on the roll. Additional processing is performed to the RFID tag to produce an RFID label.

  • Publication number: 20020124271
Abstract: An interactive public media display terminal capable of presenting different presentations to the viewing public simultaneously is presented. The media terminal includes a large vertically orientated display that can be partitioned to display varied content to attract different factions of a viewing audience. The content can be configured to attract viewers based on the distance they are away from the terminal. To accomplish this, the display can be coupled among a computer and a communication device configured to exchange data with a network such as the Internet. The display can also include a touch sensitive screen and other input devices that allow a user to physically interact with the terminal based on the content being presented. Furthermore, the terminal can be configured to gather data regarding the audience that views the content that is displayed.
