Patent number: 11460446Abstract: A method is provided of inspecting a nested multi-layer structure including a first and second electrically conductive layer and a third layer disposed behind the second conductive layer. The method includes deploying a sensor device including an electromagnetic acoustic transducer to a borehole location proximate to the structure, generating a drive signal including a plurality of frequencies, applying an electrical current signal to the sensor device based on the drive signal and inducing currents in the first conductive layer that induce currents generating acoustic signals having the plurality of frequencies, detecting a first set of resonant frequencies based on received electromagnetic signals, detecting a second set of resonant frequencies based on received acoustic signals, estimating a property of the first and/or the second conductive layer based on the first set of resonant frequencies, and estimating a property of the third layer based on the second set of resonant frequencies.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2020Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: BAKER HUGHES OILFIELD OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Sushant Dutta, Otto Fanini, Joseph Olaiya, Sandip Maity, Wei Han, Scott Ingram

Patent number: 11407185Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for adjustable tooling. One embodiment is a method that includes laying up a laminate of fiber reinforced material onto a continuous surface that has a convex profile and that comprises a first contoured surface of a fixed mold of a composite layup tool and a second contoured surface of a movable mold of the composite layup tool. The method also includes displacing the movable mold in a direction that is at least partially towards the fixed mold, breaking the continuous surface and releasing the laminate from the composite layup tool.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2017Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Timothy Scott Ingram, Timothy Emile Brochon

Patent number: 8640276Abstract: A molded tub and surround which is formed of a multiple of portions. Wall portions meet a tub portion at a joint with a retaining ledge which extends inward toward a tub bowl from a flange. A ledge interface within the bottom of the wall portions engages the ledge. An angled interface surface is located directly in front of the ledge and slopes downward toward the bowl. A shallow interface within the bottom of the wall portions engages the angled interface surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2008Date of Patent: February 4, 2014Assignee: Aqua Glass CorporationInventors: Scott Ingram, Brent Thomas

Patent number: 6895609Abstract: A tub and shower surround assembly is initially molded as a single molded component having a waste strip which separates each individual tub and shower surround portion. The waste strip readily protects the mold and simplifies post molding operations and assures that each portion will meet final tolerances. Another waste strip is located between the tub portion and the wall portions to provide for positive draft between a tub flange which extends about the tub portion and the wall portions. Positive draft is required to assure proper removal of the mold component from the mold. The single component provides for finishing operations to be performed prior to separating the individual components. Since the majority of finishing operations are performed simultaneously prior to separating the portions, the likelihood of damage to the portions are reduced and the finish of the individual portions are of greater consistency.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2002Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: Aqua Glass CorporationInventors: Scott Ingram, Charles M. Brown, Bradford Kenneth Hillam
