  • Patent number: 8747343
Abstract: A hemodialysis catheter is provided which includes a catheter body having a proximal and a distal end and defining at least one lumen. The at least one lumen includes a distal opening and a side opening formed through a sidewall of the catheter body. The side opening communicates with the at least one lumen, and includes guiding structure positioned adjacent a distal side of the side opening configured to smoothly redirect blood flow into the at least one lumen. The guiding structure may be defined by a raised wall, or in the alternative, an angled distal wall of the side opening.

  • Publication number: 20120316479
Abstract: A compression device for providing compression treatment to a limb of a wearer includes a compression garment positionable on the limb of the wearer. The garment includes at least one inflatable bladder for providing compression treatment to the limb. A controller is adapted for fluid connection with the inflatable bladder and configured for cyclically inflating and deflating the bladder to provide the compression treatment. The controller is configured to temporarily pause the compression treatment for a set period of time without resetting the compression device.

  • Patent number: 7182746
Abstract: A catheter is provided including a tubular body having a proximal end and a distal end. The body includes a first lumen and a second lumen with a septum disposed therebetween. The proximal end includes a valve and a hub that are integral with the body. The hub includes a first conduit and a second conduit. The valve includes a first port and a second port that are rotatable, about a longitudinal axis of the body, to establish fluid communication between the lumens and the conduits. The distal end of the tubular body may be configured for insertion with a subject. The conduits may be connectable to a medical apparatus.
