  • Publication number: 20210065523
Abstract: A sensor system includes an actuator, an accelerometer coupled with the actuator, a rigid member, a transducer, and one or more processors. The actuator generates motion. The accelerometer outputs an acceleration signal responsive to at least the motion of the actuator. The rigid member extends from a first end coupled with the accelerometer to a second end. The transducer is coupled with the second end of the rigid member. The transducer can be configured to couple with a load, and can output a force signal responsive to at least a portion of the motion of the actuator transmitted to the transducer via the rigid member. The one or more processors determine a mechanical impedance of the load based at least on the acceleration signal and the force signal.

  • Patent number: 10928504
Abstract: A sensor assembly includes a sensor in the form of a microwave radar device to dispense microwaves in an area where seed or other particulate material is to be sensed. This may be a seed tube of a row unit. The microwaves of the radar provide an accurate determination if a seed or other particulate material has passed through the field of vision of the sensor to provide an accurate sensing of a seed event. This information can be used to determine the rate of planting, skips, doubles, as well as any other information related to the passing of a seed or other particulate material.

  • Patent number: 10897668
Abstract: An audio system for customizing sound fields for increased user privacy. A microphone array of a headset detects sounds from one or more sound sources in a local area of the headset. The audio system estimates array transfer functions (ATFs) associated with the sounds, and determines determining sound field reproduction filters for a loudspeaker array of the headset using the ATFs. The audio system presents audio content, via the loudspeaker array, based in part on the sound field reproduction filters. The presented audio content has a sound field that has a reduced amplitude in a first damped region of the local area that includes a first sound source of the one or more sound sources.

  • Patent number: 10873891
Abstract: A wireless mobile communication device can receive one or more network parameters from a network gateway and identify a network associated with the network parameters based on stored network information of networks with which the device is configured to join and/or network gateways with which the device is configured to communicate. The device can identify private network information associated with the identified network that will enable the device to access one or more private networks via the identified network. Once the device obtains access to the identified network, the device can set up one or more virtual private network (VPN) tunnels to join one or more private networks accessible via the identified network. When using two or more VPN tunnels, one VPN tunnel can be nested within another VPN tunnel.
