  • Publication number: 20040238067
Abstract: Methods for the harvesting of timber using a cutting sawhead having cutting elements of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) are provided. A sawhead having cutting elements of PCD extends the useful life of the blades, increases productivity and decreases downtown in timber harvesting methods. A method for harvesting timber in rocky and sandy soils using a sawhead with PCD tipped cutters is described.
