  • Publication number: 20240051146
Abstract: A system and method for installing solar panels are provided. The method includes obtaining images of solar panels an installation structure during installation. The method also includes pre-processing the images by compensating for camera intrinsics or distortions, rectifying the images, and/or determining depth information. The method also includes detecting the solar panels by inputting the images into neural networks. The method also includes a first post-processing to compute a first panel pose based on an output of the neural networks. The method also includes generating control signals, based on the first panel pose, for operating a robotic controller for installing the solar panels. In some embodiments, the method also includes homography transforms to obtain a second panel pose, based on the first panel pose and visual patterns or fiducials on a solar panel, and generating the control signals further based on the second panel pose.

  • Patent number: 7044912
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed which permits a user to save user defined viewing configuration, also referred to as a bookmark as a separately manipulatable or transferable entity without altering the underlying image data and maintaining, where desired, the association between the bookmark 200 and the underlying source image data. The disclosed system and method act to save the bookmark by saving the succession of system inputs, which, in conjunction with the system characteristics and system parameters, achieve the desired viewing configuration. Thereby, the disclosed system and method permits review of the inputs used to manipulate the image to confirm the process by which a diagnosis or anatomical measurement was made, permits the replay of a sequence for presentation or training purposes to effectively demonstrate not only the end result, but the methodology as well.

  • Patent number: 5528566
Abstract: A mass memory storage system, capable of recording and/or playing back optical discs in any optical disc format. The system contains a plurality of optical discs arranged in a vertical array in the shape of a doughnut with no hole in the middle, each disc being stored in a separate radially oriented track. The system employs a central disc transport mechanism comprised of a plurality of read-head modules each of which is capable of picking up and reading data from or writing data to any optical disc in the system. The read-head modules are mounted on a central bi-directionally rotating platform driven by a stepper motor through a gear assembly. Each track contains one sunken area to store an optical disc and one sunken area from which the optical disc may be picked up by a read-head module. The stepper motor and the read-head modules are under control of a microprocessor.
