Patent number: 11837443Abstract: A faceplate of a showerhead has a bottom side that faces a plasma generation region and a top side that faces a plenum into which a process gas is supplied during operation of a substrate processing system. The faceplate includes apertures formed through the bottom side and openings formed through the top side. Each of the apertures is formed to extend through a portion of an overall thickness of the faceplate to intersect with at least one of the openings to form a corresponding flow path for process gas through the faceplate. Each of the apertures has a cross-section that has a hollow cathode discharge suppression dimension in at least one direction. Each of the openings has a cross-section that has a smallest cross-sectional dimension that is greater than the hollow cathode discharge suppression dimension.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2022Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Lam Research CorporationInventors: Michael John Selep, Patrick G. Patent number: 11839047Abstract: A design for the electrical infrastructure of a data center enables two different configurations to be utilized, including a distributed, redundant configuration that provides higher reliability and a non-redundant configuration that provides higher capacity. In the distributed, redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from at least two different power supply systems. This enables load shifting when a power supply system becomes unavailable, which can have the effect of increasing server reliability. In the non-redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from only one power supply system. Load shifting is not utilized in the non-redundant configuration, which eliminates the need to maintain reserve capacity and thereby increases capacity. Advantageously, it is possible to switch between these two configurations without making any internal changes to the data center other than modifying connections between sets of server racks and power buses.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Scott Thomas Seaton, Ryan Douglas Carver, Osvaldo P. Patent number: 11727929Abstract: Voice command matching during testing of voice-assisted application prototypes for languages with non-phonetic alphabets is described. A visual page of an application prototype is displayed during a testing phase of the application prototype. A speech-to-text service converts a non-phonetic voice command spoken in a language with a non-phonetic alphabet, captured by at least one microphone during the testing phase of the application prototype, into a non-phonetic text string in the non-phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A phonetic language translator translates the non-phonetic text string of the voice command into a phonetic text string in a phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A comparison module compares the phonetic text string of the voice command to phonetic text strings in the phonetic alphabet of stored voice commands associated with the application prototype to identify a matching voice command. A performance module performs an action associated with the matching voice command.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2021Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Mark C. Publication number: 20230251701Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to sustainability-aware computing device behavior management. In examples, a sustainability platform obtains sustainability information associated with an energy grid, as may be provided by a data provider. The sustainability platform may provide a sustainability forecast, which may be received and cached by a computing device. The computing device may use the sustainability forecast to manage various device functionality, such that functionality may be performed during one or more times that are identified to have a comparatively lower environmental impact, thereby deferring device energy consumption during a time forecasted to have a higher environmental impact. The sustainability forecast cached by the computing device may be updated on a periodic basis or in response to determining that the location of the computing device (and, potentially, the associated energy grid) has changed, among other examples.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2022Publication date: August 10, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Scott Thomas CHAMBERLIN, Malav Mukeshbhai SHAH, Devin Nathaniel ROBERTS, Scott ROSOFF
