  • Patent number: 5936585
Abstract: An FM signal antenna for window glass mounting in a motor vehicle includes an elongated conductor formed as a ladder to form a series of openings along its length. Preferably, the ladder is constructed of a pair of parallel conductors and cross member conductor segments coupled across the parallel connector. The cross member conductors are spaced from each other a distance substantially less than the wave length of the signals to be received. In addition, the antenna includes a raised feed point positioned along the length of the conductor. The conductor has a length substantially greater than the window area so that a fold is formed in the conductor, and an extended portion of the conductor overlapping from the fold is preferably aligned with and conductively independent of the feed point. In addition, the antenna is mounted above a heater grid comprising a plurality of transverse conductors extending between common potential conductors at either end of the grid.

  • Patent number: 5922367
Abstract: An injection mold machine (10) is disclosed including a mold (40) having closely spaced mold cavities (56, 58). A heated sprue bushing (62) is disposed between the mold cavities so that the runners (142, 144) are relatively short. The sprue bushing has an elongated portion (78) that is narrow and fits between the mold cavities (56, 58). Two rather slender cartridge heaters (126) are disposed in holes (112, 114) formed in the elongated portion on opposite sides of the sprue opening (102) through which the molten material is injected.

  • Patent number: 5883599
Abstract: A concealed antenna system (16) for a motor vehicle (10) including a first antenna element (18) mounted on a first window (20), or panel, of the vehicle and at least a second antenna element (30) mounted on a second window (19), or panel, of the vehicle. The first antenna element (18) includes a conductive line (22) and a conductive loop (26) connected to one another. The first and second antenna elements are connected to one another in series by a wire (32) between the loop (26) on the first antenna element (18) and a conductive portion of the second antenna element (30).
