Patent number: 11228615Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for transparent data encryption are described. A transparent proxy may enforce a specific encryption policy for a data transmission from a source host to a target host, where the transparent proxy determines if the data transmission is encrypted according to a specific encryption policy prior to forwarding the data transmission to the target host. As such, if the data transmission is not encrypted according to the specific encryption policy, the transparent proxy may encrypt the data transmission and then forward it to the target host. Alternatively, if the transparent proxy determines that the data transmission is encrypted according to the specific encryption policy, then the transparent proxy may refrain from further encrypting the data transmission and forward the data transmission to the target host without the additional encryption.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2018Date of Patent: January 18, 2022Assignee: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Scott Wisniewski, David Lucey, David Murray, Xiongjian Fu

Patent number: 11057359Abstract: A set of hardware security modules (HSMs) in a database system may implement a key management system with a database storing encryption keys or other secrets. The set of HSMs may identify a first key encryption key (KEK) and a second KEK stored in the set of HSMs. The set of HSMs may retrieve, from the database, a set of encryption keys encrypted by the first KEK and decrypt each encryption key of the set of encryption keys using the first KEK. The set of HSMs may re-encrypt each encryption key of the set of encryption keys with the second KEK and transmit, to the database, the set of encrypted encryption keys encrypted by the second KEK for storage. Then, the set of HSMs may delete the first KEK from the set of HSMs.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: July 6, 2021Assignee: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Scott Wisniewski, David Murray, Xiongjian Fu, Harish Krishnamurthy

Patent number: 9814128Abstract: A multiple board standoff for interconnecting a plurality of electronic boards, such as printed circuit boards, having at least one keyhole slot. The standoff comprises a plurality of major diameter portions, a plurality of minor diameter portions each disposed between two of the plurality of major diameter portions, and a plurality of abutment surfaces each transversely extending from one of the major diameter portions to one of the minor diameter portions. At least one of the minor diameter portions is configured to be inserted into the keyhole slot when the standoff is in a first orientation with respect to the electronic board and being retained within the keyhole slot when the standoff is in a second orientation with respect to the electronic board.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2017Date of Patent: November 7, 2017Assignee: Crestron Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Agnieszka Wynar, Stan Wisniewski, Michael Campagna, Scott Wisniewski

Patent number: 8628224Abstract: An articulating accessory cartridge for use in theatrical and commercial lighting fixtures in which optical accessories are utilized. The cartridge includes an outer member removably insertable in the fixture and an inner member telescopically retained in the outer member. One or several optical accessories can be removably received and retained in the inner member in an axial stack, depending upon effects desired. The inner cartridge member is telescopically extended before the cartridge is mounted on the fixture. As the cartridge is inserted, the uppermost accessory engages the end of a reflector associated with a light source in the fixture. Continued insertion of the cartridge results in telescopic retraction of the inner cartridge member, depending upon the number of accessories in the stack, until the outer cartridge member is fully seated. The accessories are held against the end of the reflector for optimal efficiency of the lighting and lighting effects.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2011Date of Patent: January 14, 2014Assignee: Lighting Services, Inc.Inventors: John Speidel, Vincent Gennarelli, Frank Reidmiller, Peter Eagleton, Jose Cadena, Scott Wisniewski

Patent number: 8500299Abstract: A narrow angle LED illuminated spotlight in which the light-emitting output of an LED light source is coupled with an optic element, in the form of a focusing reflector or focusing lens, and a masking element is interposed between the light source and the optic element to partially mask off the output area of the light source and significantly reduce the area of the emitted light reaching the optic element. This enables the light passed by the masking element to be concentrated into a, narrow beam (i.e., 18° or less) using an optic element of much smaller size than otherwise, thus making the use of an LED light source module a practical source of light for narrow beam spotlights.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2011Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: Lighting Services Inc.Inventors: John Speidel, Vincent Gennarelli, Frank Reidmiller, Peter Eagleton, Jose Cadena, Scott Wisniewski, Andrew P. Patent number: 7850363Abstract: An adjustable track lighting fixture of a type having rotary locking lever for securing the fixture to a bus bar, where the locking lever is economically formed with an internal confinement facility of removably housing an Allen key to be retained with the fixture and used for locking the adjustments of the fixture when desired. A spring, also housed internally of the locking lever, resiliently but releasably retains the Allen key until purposefully withdrawn by a workman. The key is returned to its confinement after the workman has finished using it for the purposes intended. The key is retained in an inconspicuous manner but nevertheless visible to the workman and readily extracted for use when desired.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2009Date of Patent: December 14, 2010Assignee: Lighting Services Inc.Inventors: John Speidel, Vincent Gennarelli, Frank Reidmiller, Peter Eagleton, Jose Cadena, Scott Wisniewski

Patent number: 7744386Abstract: An electrical busway system comprising a busway uniquely configured for cutting to length in the field. Special connector devices are also disclosed, with features for engaging and immobilizing busway insulators to assure accurate initial alignment of conductors and contact elements prior to joining of connector devices with busway sections. An accessory device, specially adapted to the new busway design, includes a rotatable contact element, slideably received in its rotatable support, which progressively displaces a spring as the contact element is rotated into contact with a busbar carried by a busway insulator. Good electrical contact at both ends of the slideable contact element is assured.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2009Date of Patent: June 29, 2010Assignee: Lighting Services Inc.Inventors: John Speidel, Vincent Gennarelli, Frank Reidmiller, Peter Eagleton, Jose Cadena, Scott Wisniewski

Publication number: 20070048132Abstract: A method and system for a helicopter blade emergency detachment system that has an activator in the cockpit to initiate the system, an ignition train to provide the detonation signal, a transfer system at the base of the main rotor shaft to move the signal from the stationary helicopter to the rotating blades, and explosive charges located at the root of each main bearing-less rotor blade to separate the composite blade from the main rotor. These four components interact in the way described to enable the blades of the helicopter to be detached during an emergency, thus increasing the stability of the aircraft during a hard landing and/or allowing for the use of an occupant ejection seat or parachute while the helicopter is still in flight.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2005Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventors: William Boice, Jonathan Hartog, Scott Wisniewski
