  • Publication number: 20080088337
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting a display device includes an inspection substrate and a power supply part. The inspection substrate is electrically connected to a flexible circuit film that is connected to a display panel of the display device. The inspection substrate outputs inspection signals inspecting a connection between the display panel and the flexible circuit film. The power supply part is electrically connected to the inspection substrate. The power supply part provides driving power to the display panel. Thus, the inspection substrate is electrically connected to the flexible circuit film. Manufacturing costs for the apparatus may be reduced and the connection between the display panel and the flexible circuit film may be inspected.

  • Publication number: 20080018634
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device and driving method thereof that are capable of generating positive and negative bias voltages the absolute values of which are symmetrical. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes a pulse generator for generating a pulse signal, a positive bias voltage generator for generating a positive bias voltage using (by rectifying) the pulse signal and a negative bias voltage generator for generating a negative bias voltage the absolute value of which is substantially symmetrical with the absolute value of the positive bias voltage. The pulse generator generates the pulse signal based on feedback of at least one of the positive and negative bias voltages.

  • Publication number: 20070195052
Abstract: A source driving apparatus includes a latch, an additional-data generator, an output controller and a buffer. The latch latches a normal-data signal received and outputs the latched normal-data signal. The additional-data generator generates an additional-data signal having a low value on the gray-scale and outputs the additional-data signal. The output controller controls the additional-data generator to output the generated additional-data signal during an invalid data interval of a predetermined frame. The buffer buffers the normal-data signal and the additional-data signal and outputs the normal-data signal and the additional-data signal. Therefore, instantaneous afterimage phenomenon may be eliminated by changing the structure of the source driver.

  • Publication number: 20060164587
Abstract: A display panel assembly includes a display panel, a source printed circuit board (“PCB”), a main path unit, and a sub path unit. The display panel displays an image in response to a data signal and a gate signal generated based on a driving voltage. The source PCB is disposed in a peripheral region of the display panel and mounts a driving circuit unit outputting the driving voltage. The main path unit transmits the driving voltage to the display panel, and the sub path unit transmits the driving voltage to the display panel. Therefore, drive reliability may be improved by employing a sub path unit additionally transmitting the gate driving voltage to the display panel.

  • Patent number: 5600229
Abstract: A system for monitoring the energy performance of a secondary battery, and a method therefor, are disclosed. A micro-processor (32) is used to compute the energy capacity during the use of the battery by charging and discharging, thereby determining the decrease in the battery capacity. This data is provided to the user and is transmitted to a battery residue capacity measuring means, so that the battery may be charged if needed. The total discharged energy amount is stored in a ROM, and analog signals obtained from a power supply means are converted to digital signals, while an actually used total energy amount is stored in a non-volatile RAM (35). The value stored in the RAM (35) is compared with the value stored in the ROM 33, thereby computing the decrease of the battery capacity.
