  • Publication number: 20070029238
Abstract: A mobile liquid treatment apparatus, such as a filter assembly, includes a frame having a first end, a second end, and a platform extending between the first end and the second end. A filter is secured to the frame and is configured to separate a solid component from a liquid component of a solid liquid mixture. The mobile filter assembly includes at least a first deployment leg assembly secured to the first end of the frame and at least a second deployment leg assembly secured to the second end of the frame. A force generator is associated with each deployment leg assembly and is configured to apply a force to the first leg and the second leg to move the second leg relative to the first leg, such that the first and second deployment leg assemblies are capable of cooperating to raise the filter assembly to a desired height above a surface on which the filter assembly is supported. ISO lifting points may be provide to facilitate transport.

  • Publication number: 20060196820
Abstract: A method and apparatus for filtering a slurry utilizing a displacement filtering principle. The filter apparatus desirably includes a first filter and a second filter. Both the first and second filters may be substantially annular in shape and positioned concentrically with respect to each other. A particulate collection volume is at least partially defined between the first and second filters. The method includes directing a flow of slurry into the particulate collection volume under sufficient pressure to force fluid within the particulate collection volume through one of the inner and outer filters and any particulate matter blocking a filtering surface of the inner and outer filters.

  • Publication number: 20050199559
Abstract: A filter configured to separate the solid components and the liquid components from a slurry. The filter includes a plurality of filter plate assemblies that cooperate to define a plurality of filter chambers, each defining a perimeter having an open section when the filter plates are in a closed position relative to one another. Each filter plate assembly includes a closure configured to close the open section. Preferably, the closures are movable to an open position to permit a particulate cake to be removed from the filter chambers without separating the filter plates.

  • Publication number: 20050161392
Abstract: A method and apparatus for filtering a slurry utilizing a displacement filtering principle. The filter apparatus desirably includes an inner filter and an outer filter. Both the inner and outer filters are preferably substantially annular in shape and positioned concentrically with respect to each other. A particulate collection volume is at least partially defined between the inner and outer filter. The method includes directing a flow of slurry into the particulate collection volume under sufficient pressure to force fluid within the particulate collection volume through one of the inner and outer filters and any particulate matter blocking a filtering surface of the inner and outer filters.
