Abstract: The download redirection method and system directs the transfer of data from an online source, such as files available on the internet, files attached to email messages and the like, to authenticated cloud storage instead of to the device being used by the user. This redirection involves the download process on the device, such as a dedicated download manager, or function of a browser, email or other such applications, relinquishing control to the present invention, and the transfer of the requested data to the cloud storage provider without the requested file being transferred through the user device to the user's cloud storage provider.
