  • Patent number: 11567511
Abstract: An automated package retrieval system is provided. The automated package retrieval system includes a hub apparatus that includes multiple docking stations for multiple delivery devices, a power supply unit coupled to the hub apparatus, and a controller. The controller is configured to instruct at least one of the delivery devices to travel to a location to deliver an item ordered by a user. Once it is determined that the user has not retrieved the item from the delivery device, the delivery device is instructed to return to the hub apparatus. In response to detecting the user in proximity to the hub apparatus after the delivery device has returned to the hub apparatus, the user is provided with access to a storage compartment of the delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20210209543
Abstract: Primary vehicles having cameras or other sensors generate and transmit instructions for causing secondary vehicles, such as personal delivery devices, to travel on selected courses and speeds. The primary vehicles capture and process images or other data to determine positions or orientations of the secondary vehicle, to detect any obstacles, and to select courses or speeds for the secondary vehicle based on the locations of the obstacles or one or more objectives of a task or function. Alternatively, the secondary vehicles may also capture images or other data, and transmit the images or data to the primary vehicle for processing. The secondary vehicles may include one or more fiducials having visual markings thereon. The visual identifiers are fixed in their orientations with respect to the secondary vehicles, such that positions or orientations of the secondary vehicles may be determined upon detecting the markings within imaging data.

  • Patent number: 11023089
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating transition in a rendering of a network page given a resizing of a view port of a viewing window on a client device. The client device renders a network page in a view port on a display device, the network page defining a plurality of view port resolution ranges. The client device then implements a first level of changes in a display of the network page in response to resizing of the view port within a respective one of the view port resolution ranges. The client device subsequently implements a second level of changes in the display of the network page in response to resizing of the view port through a transition threshold defined between a respective pair of the view port resolution ranges.

  • Patent number: 10042032
Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and method for generating recommendations based on similarities between location information of multiple users are described. Various embodiments may include a location-based recommendation system configured to, for each given user of a group of users, determine the given user has traveled to one or more respective locations and determine one or more characteristics of the given user. The system may also determine that a particular user has traveled to or will travel to each of one or more particular locations. The system may further determine a similarity between the one or more particular locations and one or more locations to which specific ones of the group of users have traveled. The system may generate a recommendation for the particular user based on at least some of the determined characteristics of the specific ones of the group of users for which the similarity was determined.

  • Publication number: 20180128926
Abstract: A low-power wireless ionizing radiation measurement system is present that is intended to be used in a wearable dosimeter for occupational radiation monitoring. The detector element is a custom MOS capacitor that traps holes in proportion to the amount of ionizing radiation incident upon the detector, thus permanently causing a lateral shift in the CV-curve (toward more negative threshold voltage). The circuit measures the capacitance value of several redundant sensors at a given voltage in the depletion region, records this value over time and occasionally transmits the stored values to a base station. From the change in capacitance, the dose that has been delivered can be determined.

  • Patent number: 9967297
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments relating to generating profile-based groups to obtain suggestions regarding a topic. Third party profiles corresponding to third party users are identified based on a similarity to a profile associated with a client device of a user. A network page that is configured to facilitate discussion regarding a topic is generated and transmitted to a client device and third party devices associated with the third party users. Suggestions regarding the topic may be received from the third party devices via the network page.

  • Patent number: 9927531
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for differentially altering the radiation response across multiple MOSCAP sensors by placing different thin gate materials with different atomic numbers on a series of MOS-based radiation sensors. The secondary electrons created in high-atomic weight materials (such as gold) at lower incident photon energy levels enable a tissue equivalent radiation response and radiations source identification/differentiation. This is a desirable alternative to using filters with different coefficients across a series of MOSCAP radiation sensor which will attenuate the signal and degrade the device form factor. The method and apparatus disclosed achieves the same functionality but with inherent gain instead of attenuation, thus increasing sensitivity. This will improve the minimum resolvable dose for x-rays and low-energy gammas (high-energy gammas will remain the same), and produces a response that can distinguish the energy level of incident radiation photon.

  • Patent number: 9917917
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for prefetching of objects referenced on a network page. An encoded network page referring to at least one item is retrieved. The same item is included on a second network page. In response to an indication of user interest in the item on the first network page, at least an initial portion of a video resource associated with the indicated item and included on the second network page is retrieved. In response to a user selection of the same item, the retrieved initial portion of the video resource is rendered on the second network page.

  • Patent number: 9804273
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed comprising a metal oxide semiconductor capacitor (MOSCAP) comprising one or more gate layers disposed over a contiguous radiation-sensitive insulating layer, wherein the contiguous radiation-sensitive insulating layer comprises one or more contacting dielectric layers. A method may be employed to measure a value of a radiation-induced capacitance response of a metal oxide semiconductor capacitor (MOSCAP) from multiple non-contacting gate layers disposed over a radiation-sensitive layer comprising of one or more contacting dielectric layers to thereby enhance a sensitivity and a resolution of a radiation response of the MOSCAP.

  • Patent number: 9772737
Abstract: Systems, methods and interfaces for sharing content access information associated with content among devices in a communication network are provided. One or more devices collect content access information related to the presentation of content to a user on user devices. Based on a determination of a synchronization event, the originating device transmits the collected content access information, resulting in the receipt of the content access information by a content management system. The content management system can process receiving content access information from various devices and user accounts and aggregate the processed content access information into one or more ordered lists. Thereafter, the content management system can publish, or otherwise make available, one or more of the ordered lists to various network resources, originating devices, or other user devices or user accounts.
