  • Publication number: 20130227664
Abstract: Based on information on a biometric print of a user of a mobile device and user associated identification, the user is biometrically authenticated over a network for access to an online service. When a request from the user for access to an online service is received, a server checks the identification to determine if the user or mobile device is registered for a biometric based verification service. If registered, a sample biometric print is obtained from the user and compared to a stored template biometric print of the authorized user associated with the mobile device to determine if there is a match. When there is a match, the user is biometrically authenticated and is granted access to the online service.

  • Patent number: 8496141
Abstract: A frozen beverage freezer machine is provided with two side-by-side freezer cylinders containing different flowable frozen beverage products. Draw valves are provided to draw the beverages separately for dispensing separately from the two beverage freezer cylinders. An additional draw valve, generally centered relative to the freezer cylinders, is provided to draw beverages from the two cylinders simultaneously for dispensing a mix of the two beverages. Clog breaker blades are coupled to the center draw valve assembly to inhibit clogging of passageways from the frozen beverage cylinders to the center valve, to facilitate reliable flow and mixing of the two beverages when the center valve is opened to dispense the mix into a user's receiver cup.

  • Patent number: 8015619
Abstract: A body harness having an adjustable waist strap; a shoulder strap having a first distal end affixed to a right side of said waist strap and a second distal end affixed to a left side of said waist strap generally opposite from said first distal end so that said shoulder strap is carried by said waist strap in a looping arrangement; a back strap affixed between said waist strap and shoulder strap, wherein said back strap extends approximately between a midpoint of said waist strap and a midpoint of said shoulder strap for supporting the back of the user when being dragged; an elongated drag strap carried by said back strap and disposed generally at the intersection of said back strap and said shoulder strap for extending to facilitate dragging of the user; and, a hand grip carried by said drag strap for increased grip.

  • Publication number: 20090095232
Abstract: An elongated base strap with a top strap affixed to the base strap at a series of spaced anchor points. The top strap extends outward from the base strap between anchor points defining a plurality of consecutive attachment loops along the length of the base strap. A quick release coupling is carried at a first distal end for rapid detachment of the drag strap from a user. An extended end loop is carried at a second distal end of the base strap for engaging an injured person. A quick connect coupling is carried by the elongated end loop for coupling the elongated end loop to one of the attachment loops to secure the injured person to the drag strap, whereby a hands-free drag strap is provided for dragging an injured person to a safe location while allowing the rescuer to maintain engagement with a hostile combatant.

  • Patent number: 6375249
Abstract: A public transit vehicle has a vehicle body having a roof defining an interior ceiling surface, two side walls each extending longitudinally of the vehicle including an upper side wall portion connecting to the roof and a row of windows underneath the upper portion, a central aisle and two rows of seats each on a respective side of the aisle and along the side wall at the windows. The roof and floor are formed from a welded frame structure over which is applied a molded panel formed in single panel structure and bonded to the frame structure. The panel is formed by molding a sandwich using a thermosetting resin through top and bottom fiber reinforced sheets and a honeycomb layer of resin impregnated paper and foam between the sheets. The floor panel is shaped so that its thickness varies and its top and bottom surfaces deviate from an otherwise planar structure to incline downwardly at a door way and to incline upwardly to clear structural elements.
