  • Patent number: 10337760
Abstract: The present invention relates to an air diffuser. The air diffuser comprises at least one primary discharge element. The secondary discharge element is arranged to discharge a secondary airstream capable of flowing across at least one surface that directs the secondary airstream substantially in a plane of the diffuser discharge face in the vicinity directly downstream of the secondary discharge element. The primary discharge element is arranged to discharge a primary airstream that is induced by the secondary discharged airstream such that the direction of the primary discharged airstream is largely determined by the direction of travel of the secondary airstream.

  • Patent number: 9885494
Abstract: A method for delivering air comprising the steps of: discharging a first air stream, wherein the mass flow rate of first air stream can be varied; and discharging a second air stream, wherein the second air stream is arranged to induce the first air stream to deliver a combined air stream with a mass flow rate that can be varied.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 6, 2018
    Assignee: Fusion HVAC Pty Limited
    Inventor: Sean Michael Johl Badenhorst
  • Patent number: 9513026
Abstract: An air diffuser comprising at least one discharge that is hand manipulable to vary at least two of the airflow rate, the airflow pattern and the airflow direction, wherein the airflow pattern produced by the discharge element may be at least one of a substantially perpendicular axial swirl pattern relative to the discharge element surface or a substantially inclined swirl pattern relative to the perpendicular axis of the discharge element surface.

  • Publication number: 20140287674
Abstract: An air diffuser comprises a plurality of discharge elements (4a to 4d). The discharge elements are configured such that they are able to be arranged in the diffuser so as to abut to form a tessellation of discharge elements in a plane. At least one of the discharge elements may be displaceable out of the plane for adjustment of its orientation.

  • Publication number: 20140199938
Abstract: An apparatus for exhausting air from a space. The space may comprise the interior space(s) of buildings such as hospitals, enclosed shopping malls, warehouses, factories, high rise buildings, etc. The apparatus comprises at least a first discharging arrangement in the form of return and supply air ducts of an air handling unit (AHU). The apparatus also comprises a second discharging arrangement in the form of a smoke exhaust box. The return air duct is arranged to receive an air stream discharged from the space and is able to be isolated from the smoke exhaust box. Upon isolation of the return air duct, the smoke exhaust box is able to receive and discharge an air stream (e.g. a smoke-filled or contaminated air stream) from the space.

  • Publication number: 20120190293
Abstract: An air diffuser comprising a body, at least one swirl pattern discharge element and at least one jet pattern discharge element, wherein the jet pattern discharge element is manipulable to vary the airflow direction angle of a discharged jet pattern of air relative to an axis perpendicular to a discharge face of the swirl pattern discharge element to thereby alter the angle of the air discharged from the swirl pattern discharge element.
