  • Publication number: 20150019270
Abstract: Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of an operator benefits and rewards through sensory tracking of a vehicle. In one aspect, a method includes associating a private vehicle with an individual. A behavior of the individual is monitored when the individual is operating the private vehicle. The method includes determining whether the individual is adhering to a set of parameters set by an entity. Information is presented to the individual that they have earned a credit towards a benefit based on operating of the private vehicle. The entity may be permitted to configure the set of parameters and set a weight to each of the set of parameters. A punitive measure may be provided when the set of parameters is violated. A curfew range may be set on the private vehicle such that a movement of the private vehicle is limited to the curfew range.

  • Publication number: 20150006207
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and/or a system of insurance rate optimization through driver behavior which includes a computer server of the driver monitoring environment to determine if a newly insured driver operating a private vehicle is adhering to a set of parameters set by an entity i.e. a driving school, an insurance provider and/or a family member of the newly insured driver. The system assigns a credit to the newly insured driver when it adheres to the set of parameters. The newly insured driver is monitored by the entity. A metadata is generated which includes a behavioral trait of the newly insured driver and an insurance rate is set through the insurance provider based on an adherence to the set of parameters set by the entity.

  • Publication number: 20140012634
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, devices, and systems to assess the performance of a fleet driver using a geospatial tracking device. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising determining a baseline travel time of a fleet vehicle traveling a fleet route from a departure location to an arrival location; obtaining a dispatch estimated travel time of the fleet vehicle traveling the fleet route from a dispatcher; obtaining a driver estimated travel time of the fleet vehicle; determining an actual travel time of the fleet vehicle traveling the fleet route through a geospatial tracking device; and generating a driver performance score of the driver of the fleet vehicle for a duration of the fleet route based on the baseline travel time, the dispatch estimated travel time, the driver estimated travel time, and/or the actual travel time.

  • Publication number: 20130302757
Abstract: A method of geospatial data based assessment driver behavior to improve driver safety and efficiency is disclosed. A method of a server device may comprise determining that a telemetry data is associated with a vehicle communicatively coupled with the server device and comparing the telemetry data with a driver objective data. A variance between the telemetry data and the driver objective data may then be determined. A performance score may be generated upon comparison of the variance to a threshold limit and/or the driver objective data. The performance score may be published along with other performance scores of other drivers in other vehicles also communicatively coupled with the server device to a reporting dashboard module. Elements of game theory may be implemented to create a team driving challenge and/or a driver performance program to generate the performance score to improve driver safety and efficiency for commercial fleets.
