  • Publication number: 20220230368
Abstract: A method if shown for obtaining improved digital radiological images during a digital subtraction angiography (DSA) intervention, carried out by the introduction of a contrast medium consisting of CO2 or other fluid in an examination zone (Z) of a human or animal body, and the creation of digital radiological images (IMC1, IMC2, IMC3 IMCn) of the examination zone (Z) at the time of contrast medium input. A mask image (IMM1, IMM2, IMM3 IMMn) of the same zone (Z) is subtracted from each image (IMC1, IMC2, IMC3 IMCn) with contrast medium and thus produce a series of “clean” digital radiological images (IMP1, IMP2, IMP3 IMPn) with limited noise. According to the method, each mask image (IMM1, IMM2, IMM3 IMMn) consists of the image with contrast (IMC (2-1), IMC (3-1) IMC (n-1)) immediately preceding the image with contrast currently obtained or by weighted combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 11369734
Abstract: A device for injecting contrast agent includes a supply line with a pressure regulator and leading to a soft injection bag in fluid communication with the supply line and with a catheter. The device also includes a pair of clamping plates acting on the injection bag and arranged on opposite sides of the injection bag. The clamping plates can be moves away from and close to each other. The device also includes a pair of inflatable compression bags. The compression bags are inflated with compressed air and act on corresponding clamping to plates to force the clamping plates to move close to each other and thus compress the injection bag. According to a method of the invention, the injection bag is filled from the source through the pressure regulator and a constant volume load container, and a contrast agent is supplied from the injection bag by gradually compressing the injection bag.

  • Publication number: 20220133430
Abstract: A method and system for the identification and treatment of events for synchronization and combined display of information in a sequence of frames relating to the progress of a diagnostic investigation or surgery performed on a patient. Frames are searched for the occurrence of an event, the search carried out by comparison between identified events and sought-after events, the latter stored in an archive; in the event of recognition of an event, executing a computer program for carrying out a treatment on the frame and/or the activation of a program procedure for signaling the occurrence of the event; memorizing the event or the frame that contains it, in the correct temporal reference with respect to the sequence of frames.

  • Patent number: 10874784
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling pressure of a medical gas during treatment of a patient includes is a balloon (1) that through a catheter (2) is introducable into an arterial system of the patient, and a damping bag (20), of greater volume than that of the balloon (1), adapted to be loaded with medical gas at a compliance pressure (Pc) and placed in direct fluid communication with the balloon (1). The damping bag (20) is kept in direct fluid communication with the balloon (1) for the entire duration of the treatment of the patient. The apparatus further includes fine adjusting means (30) for acting on the damping container in such a way that the compliance pressure (Pc) is maintained between the systolic pressure and the diastolic pressure of the patient when the balloon is introduced into the arterial system of the patient and during the treatment of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20180263574
Abstract: A system is proposed for the acquisition and the combined displaying of video output signals, for example in the VGA standard, coming from a set of various instruments and apparatuses (2a, 2b, 2c, . . . 2n), each of which reproduces at least a signal representing the evolution of a physiological parameter, a diagnostic image of a part of the body of a person, or both. The system collects a video signal in the section connecting each of the instruments and apparatuses (2a, 2b, 2c, . . . 2n) with a monitor (3a, 3b, 3c, . . . 3n). The video signals are carried to a central unit (1) for collection and processing of the signals and then presented in a single image on a central monitor (7).

  • Publication number: 20120226222
Abstract: A device 100 for dosing and pressure adjusting of a radiopaque agent, and, in particular, of carbon dioxide, while performing angiography, is supplied at a predefined pressure, slightly higher with respect to the environment pressure, from a source 1. The device 100 includes a first dispenser 10 for withdrawing measured amounts of carbon dioxide from the source 1. A first reservoir 15 is connected to the first dispenser by a first flow diverter 5, and contains a predefined amount of carbon dioxide to be supplied to an injection catheter 50. The device 100 includes also a second reservoir 25, the first reservoir 15 and second reservoir 25 have a common surface 20, soft or mobile, for balancing the gas pressure in the reservoirs. An output pipe 16 sets the first reservoir 15 and the injection catheter 50 in fluid communication.
